Hot surprises, Cold discovery

Daytime broke once again, making Tetsuya wake up from his slumber. And he planned nothing more but to eat, go out, apply for a job, go back, eat and sleep.

He started taking a bath before going down to eat. This time, he ordered french toast with warm Vanilla milk (Of course). There's three french toasts on one plate, one would think that it's not enough for them, but for Tetsuya who gets full easily, three pieces is enough. Besides there's berries included.

The French toast is so delicious. The toast is perfect, the bread is golden and the edges are crispy. Tetsuya can taste the cinnamon on the bread, and the honey adds on the flavor.

It's delicious all together. The bread is not too moist, unlike the time when he tried cooking one for the first time.

After eating, he went back to his room to brush and prepared himself to go out. Unlike yesterday, he woke up around 8 am, nearing 9. He probably went out around 10 am.

The Sun is shining, the streets are now busy. Thankfully though, the weather isn't too hot, he can still feel the wind. He didn't wear his cloak so it wouldn't add up to the heat.

Strolling through, he looks for shops that need a worker. Unfortunately for him, the population of the town is much larger than the town itself, so after an hour or two, he still has yet to find one.

Most of them are full of workers, it's hard to even find a one-spot open. He tried shops like: Clothing shops, Shoe shops, Toy shops, and Witch shops. He even tries on restaurants and cafes, but after going checking on 3 restaurants and 2 cafes, there's no luck to be found there.

It's probably nearing afternoon too, Lunch time is arriving. He sighed, he needs to eat but he still has no Yuons with him. Well he does but only a small amount. He probably has 10 or 15.

Tetsuya continued his walk, his stomach already giving up. Should he go back to the inn to eat?

Just when he was about to, he saw a crowd outside a certain restaurant called "Maji". He read the shining sign on the side of the restaurant.

"New milkshakes available: Chocolate milkshake, Vanilla milkshake, and Strawberry shortcake shake."

Tetsuya's eyes shined when he read the Vanilla milkshake. It's been so long since he drank one. The inn doesn't have it in their menu, the only vanilla drink he could find there was the warm Vanilla drink.

And the drink just cost 6 Yuons, he could buy two.

He shook his head, no he shouldn't give in.

Because—

"The new drinks are soo good! I loved the Vanilla milkshake!"

He's saving–

"Right?! I loved that too"

Yuons.

"It's not a normal flavored drink too."

Because he needs–

"Exactly!! It's pure Vanilla!"

Yuons.

So why is he standing in front of the counter now?

"Thank you for buying! Please claim your order on the other side."

Tetsuya's resolve broke in just a minute, he ended up buying his favorite drink.

'It's ok, I only bought one.' He reassured himself, he still has Nine Yuons left.

He thanked the worker who handed him his drink. He wonders if he should sit for a while, well it wouldn't hurt to take a break right?
