Don't be swayed, Damarah! You saw the two of them! At the restaurant. At the elevator. Of a damn hotel!

Sinunod-sunod ko ulit ang pag-inom ng alak. May gustung-gusto akong itanong rito ngunit kailangan ko pa ng karagdagang lakas ng loob.

"No! Give it back to me!" Marahas kong kinuha ulit ang bote mula rito. Nagbuhos muli ako sa baso at inisang lagok iyon.

Halos di ko na maibuka ang mga mata ko sa sobrang kalasingan. But once and for all, I have to ask this one thing!

Humugot ako ng lakas ng loob at huminga nang malalim bago nagsalita.

"Could you be honest with me?" I tried to be as calm as possible. "If that woman you have feelings for finally accepts you and the whole marriage thing, would you pursue her?"

There I said it. I have to know what Anton feels about his woman!

Napatigil ito. Hindi agad naka-imik.

"Maybe it's time for you to get serious about it. You're free to do it." Sambit ko kahit na gusto kong umiyak ulit.

"Do you really mean it?" Tumayo ito sa pagkakaupo sa counter stool at lumapit sa akin. Hinila ako nito patayo at hinapit ako sa baywang.

"Y-yes?" I just told him that he's free to pursue his woman. Why is he still acting like this to me?

"Is it really okay to you now?" Isang mabining ngiti ang namutawi sa labi nito.

Nanigurado pa talaga na pwede niyang i-pursue si Claire kahit na kasal pa kami.

"Yes, I just told you!" Pinilit kong kumalas dito.

"Honey, hindi mo naman ito sinasabi lang dahil naka-inom ka ngayon, right?" His smile widened.

Wow, ang saya ah.

"No, it's not. Let me go, please." Pinilit kong kumawala rito ngunit lalo lang nitong hinigpitan ang pagkakahapit sa akin.
