Hello, everyone! It's your girl Ariel Axilas, coming back at you once again with another chapter of my second novel, "Lightspeed: Drug Detectives"! Last time you and I met, we.....had a rather interesting conversation about my super speed potentially combining itself with.....bodily stimulation.....to produce rather......interesting results, both with myself and on other people. Even though it was a bit out of the blue, I'm a pretty chill and patient person who's willing to entertain pretty much any conversation topic out there, and that especially holds true if it's my best friend Erica Shields asking it of me, which it was.

The Paragon Herman also gave you guys—that's my wonderful, amazing readers out there—a brief crash course on what exactly stimulation entails, both with males and females! I understand the topic may a bit taboo, but hey.....how are you ever going to learn about things like these if we don't talk about them? Not everyone's fortunate or rich enough to go to college, unfortunately.

Anyway, that all happened after we successfully escaped from the Solionite Mines and began ascending up the mining elevator straight to the Celestial Compound itself, which is apparently the main base of operations for the Celestial Syndicate, the biggest cannabis drug cartel this side of the Dominican Republic. Who knows how many lives they've ruined by this point? Who knows how many more people—like the El Gallego restaurant gunman—have been completely shattered and fallen off the deep end thanks to these substances? For fuck's sake.....they have to be stopped, and they have to be stopped now.

The mining elevator eventually arrived back at the surface, but we soon found ourselves in a storehouse filled with crates of the mined solionite.....which is now the cartel's only remaining supply following the Solionite Mines' destruction. It's like a damn maze in here, I swear.....there's some dead ends, the doorway to the storehouse isn't even visible from the elevator doors......jeez. Herman, Erica, and I tried to find our way through the storehouse, but we were interrupted when some Celestial Syndicate fuckers decided to pick that exact moment to visit the storehouse. The three of us were forced to hide, but who knows how long it'll be before they spot us.....?

This time, you'll get to find out what happens next. Lights.....camera.....ACTION!

-Solionite Storehouse, Celestial Compound, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic-

Three random grunts from the Celestial Syndicate cartel walk through the doorway and enter the solionite storehouse, walking with great purpose like they already know what they're here to do.

And, to be honest, they probably do. This is their business, after all, so they're expected to know every building and passageway on this campus inside and out. Too bad there's almost no chance of willingly converting any of them to our side so they can spill the beans; otherwise, we'd be able to move about this place much quicker and easier.

My best friend, Erica Shields, is still next to me, and she's trying to keep her breathing as quiet as possible since the grunts have already entered the storehouse. It's shaky, though, her breathing is.....so I, Lightspeed, have to briefly—and silently—coach her on her breathing to get it back to normal conditions.

The Paragon Herman is on the other side of the room from us, behind a long wall of rectangular crates containing ores upon ores of solionite. He's already got his M1 Carbine at the ready, poised to open fire on the first fiend who discovers his hiding place.....but other than that, he's quiet as a mouse, trying to keep the chances of that occurring to a minimum.

"Glad to see this building's as stocked as ever," one of the three grunts says. "Any word from the Manager on our latest haul?"

The second of the three grunts is the next to speak. "None yet. If the Manager really did have a message for us, he'd have relayed it to Angelo first. Then he would've brought it to us."
