I stayed in hospital for about four weeks and Caleb stayed with me the whole time. I couldn't decide whether it was because Mikel could show up or it was because he loved me but I was leaning more towards the second one. Dad came in a lot but didn't stay the night because only one person could and Caleb had already taken that position. Dad seemed kind of annoyed at Caleb and kept asking him to go and get us stuff, like he was our own personal waiter.

"Dad! Stop treating him like he's a servant or something."

"I'm not! He's just offering to be so helpful that I thought I'd take advantage of it."

I laughed. "Stop being so moody! Just because he gets to stay with me and you don't."

I was let out a week later just before Dad got really pissed off, I think he was so annoyed because he was really lonely at home without me. And I was glad to be back in my own bed because the hospital one wasn't nearly as comfy as my own, it felt good to be wrapped in my own covers and head laying on my own soft pillow. Dad's comfort food was amazing compared to the hospital food as well and I was glad to eat his mushy mash and over cooked chicken instead of having the dull, tasteless shit the hospital served.

The only downside was that Caleb couldn't stay over no matter how much I tried to persuade Dad, luckily we got over his issue by him sneaking in through my window in the night. I was so good to be able to feel his arms wrapped around me and being able to kiss him if I had nightmares. Him not being there the first couple of nights I was back made me realize how much I longed for him, how much I craved his touch, the heat and his hands all over my body. Every time we kissed it was like sparks flew from our lips and I wanted to take it further but my casts for my broken leg and arm held me back just like it did for a lot of things as I found out after a I took a shower.

Showering proved to be really hard, I had to put plastic bags over my then and I couldn't stand up properly with them on. I sometimes slipped in the shower but I didn't fall over until that one day I was taking a shower before bed and I fell and landed heavily on my back.

"Ow!"

"Sam? Are you okay?" I heard Caleb shouting from my room.

Dad was out tonight and said that Caleb could come over until it was 'time for bed'. Yeah, his exact words not mine.

"Yeah, I just fell."

"Do you need help?"

"No, I'm fine."

"You sure?"

"Mhmm." I tried to pull myself up but I slipped again with a heaver thud.

"You don't sound okay."

"I'm fine, just fell again."

"I can't leave you like this, I have to help you."

"Umm."

"Hold on, I'm coming in."

"No! Wait!"

"What is it?" He said anxiously.

"Ummm, don't judge me okay?"

He laughed. 'Why would I judge you?"

"It's the first time you'll see me like this..."

He laughed again. "Don't worry, I'm coming in now."

I held my breath as he walked in, biting my lip. I was a wet mess lying at the bottom of the bath awkwardly. There was a moment when we just stared at each other, him staring at me in awe then he walked over to the towel rack and grabbed me a towel. He wrapped it around my shoulders and lifted me out of the tub, then he carried me in his arms into the bedroom and laid me on the bed.

"Do you need help getting ready for bed?" He said in a shaky voice.

"I'm okay, thanks." I blushed.

Caleb helped me get changed into my pjs anyway, both of us red in the face but smiling a little. There was an awkwardness between us for a few minutes of silence then Caleb heard Dad parking in the driveway with his vampire hearing, it was one of the perks of having a vampire boyfriend. He got changed into his own clothes really fast, kissed my red cheek and then sped out the window just in time for Dad to come in and see how I was doing.

"Hey kiddo, how you feeling?"

"Umm fine, much better actually." I smiled and turned away, still a little pink.

"Someones happy." He smiled and patted my arm. "Have you taken your medication for your broken arm and leg?"

"No, you have them."

"Okay, I'll go and get them for you." He walked out but then popped his head out from behind the door. "Oh, and I also contacted Dr. Cawfield and he said that you could continue your sections here in the house if its a hassle to come over to his office."

"What? No, I'd rather go to him, thanks." I didn't want that guy in my house!

"I already told him that it would be great, then you won't have to leave the house for too long. And you've to stop taking your other medication he gave to you before he can check out what the hospital are giving you for your injuries."

"But... Wouldn't it be really weird with him in the house instead of his office?"

"Sam, don't be difficult, he has been nice enough to offer to drive all the way over here."

I sighed. "Fine, but I don't want him in my room. I'll talk to him in the living room."

"Great." He smiled and when out of my room, leaving me to worry about a visit from the creepy Dr. Cawfield.
