Caleb slipped back into my bed that night and put his arms around me. I took off his shirt and laid my head on his bare chest, tracing the muscles of his stomach and kissing it softly.

"Hey."

"Hi."

There was silence as we just enjoyed each others company.

"What are you thinking about?" He whispered softly, stroking my hair.

"Stuff."

"What stuff?" He chuckled softy.

"I really don't want Dr Cawfield in my house."

"Who's that?" He kept stroking my hair, sending waves of heat all over my body.

"My psychiatrist. He gives me a bad vibe."

"But he's your psychiatrist, he's suppose to help you."

"I know but I just get a bad feeling from him."

There was silence again as I ran my icy fingertips all over his chest to get warmer.

"I think I know what will cheer you up." He kissed my neck, slowly at first but then more passionately.

I snorted a bit too loudly and had to cover my mouth to stop myself from laughing then quickly calmed myself down, pushing him off.

"How's school?" I said after a while.

"Pretty shit. I'm sick of being Kayla and Matt's third wheel all the time, they've become the next power couple of the school."

"Cute." I sarcastically. "How's Isaac?"

"Fine. Why do you ask?"

"I haven't told my Dad about the bonfire so he let Isaac come in and visit me in hospital."

"What?!" He sat up and hissed a bit too loudly.

"Shhh!" I said, coaxing him and making him lie back down. "It's fine, I was asleep at the time."

"That's what I'm worried about, he could have done anything while you were asleep." He said fiercely.

"Easy there tiger, my dad was watching him and besides, he would never do anything to hurt me."

Caleb shot me a look in the dark so all I could see was a flash of icy passionate blue.

"Sober. I meant never do anything to hurt me sober."

"Hmmm." Lying on his chest when he hummed felt good, so I told him to do it again. "Hhhmmmmmm." It tickled my cheek and almost made me have a laughing fit again.

"God, I love it when you do that."

"Right, so you like it when I stroke your hair and hum? I better write this down."

I elbowed him and laughed softly. "Shut up!"

"Hmmm."

I laughed again, it felt really good underneath me.

We continued to talk until I felt really sleepy and started to drift off, it was the first time since mom died I actually drifted off on my own without many medication. I dreamed that I was trekking in the woods on Caleb's back. We ran through laughing and joking until we heard a noise in the bushes and stopped in our tracks. It was a deer, a beautiful deer standing proudly and sniffing the air around it to make sure there was no danger. We grinned at each other and watched it carefully, trying not to move a muscle ans scare it away. Then suddenly a figure came up behind it and bit it's neck, ripping into it with massive teeth that stuck out like a walruses only sharper. It stopped and lunged for me while Caleb just stood there walking. It ripped into my throat getting blood all over it's plastic face and blonde hair. It looked at me with Ken like eyes and gave a fake smile. "So, how are you feeling today?"

I woke up to pale sunlight streaming through the gaps in my blinds, breathing heavily and rubbing my eyes with my good hand.

"Sam?" Caleb rubbed my shoulder and looked at me anxiously. "You okay?"

"Bad dream." I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Again?"

I nodded, trying not to look at him.

He kissed the top of my head and wrapped his arms around my shoulders, he stroked my hair in comfort to make me smile. He pulled me back down so I could get some sleep but I stopped him.

"Wait, isn't it about time for school?" I heard my Dad rustling and banging about in the kitchen, making breakfast.

"Fuck school, it's not the same without you. Can't I have just one day off?" He kissed my lips softly and smiled.

"I'm a bad influence on you." I laughed and kissed him back, feeling his softly lips press against mine.

Then we heard the sound of foot steps getting louder as they came towards my door. I felt another kiss on my cheek and then heard a whooshing sound just before Dad came in with a plate of egg and toast.

"Surprise!" He put it in front of me with a cheery smile. "I thought I'd make you something different for breakfast as a treat before I went to work."

"Thanks Dad." I reached up and hugged him as he gave me a fork.

"Dig in kiddo, see you when I get home." He walked out and then went into his room for a couple of minutes. I heard him jiggling his keys and opening the door then eventually driving away in his car.

I heard another whooshing noise and saw Caleb running over with hungry eyes to try and nick my toast.

"Oi! Get off." I turned away from him. "Mine!"

He laughed and then tickled me, causing me to double over laughing and eventually give in and let him have some. He stuck a piece of toast in his mouth and I took a bite, grinning widely and licking the butter off his face. He caressed my face with his fingertips and stroked my hair again, knowing that I loved it so I would kiss his smug mouth. I leaned in half way and then he pulled me closer to my neck, kissing me with icy passion and heat so it consumed us. He fell on top of me and the kiss grew wider, making me want him more than I already did.

He rolled off me before it got too serious and collapsed on the bed beside me, both of us breathless and me craving more but we were both too tired to carry on.

"Damn you." I said between breaths.

He grinned at me, turning his head softly. "We should wait."

"And if I don't want to?"

"Sam, we've only been dating for a couple of weeks." He laughed. "Wouldn't you prefer if we waited and like did something special?"

"I guess." I sighed a little disappointed.

"And I know how much you love cliches, I want to make it just like the movies for you."

"Fine." I gave in, returning the smile weakly and getting up.

"Where are you going?"

"Making breakfast since you ate all my toast." I grinned and licked my fork teasingly, edging out of the door.

"I can I have some?" He followed like an obedient puppy, his eyes wide as I tried to walk sexily in my little pj shorts.

"Maybe." I smirked and tipped some eggs into the pan.

I turned on the radio and tried to dance, wiggling and shaking my butt but looking pathetic because of my stupid casts. Man, I couldn't wait to get them off...

Despite me looking like a total idiot, surprisingly he stared in awe, transfixed.

"So much better than school."
