Hajimes pov

"Before anything we should identify the cause of death. Any ideas anyone?" I looked around expectingly. Everyone shifted around uncomfortably. Everyone except fuyuhiko.

"The fat bastard coughed up blood right?" fuyuhiko said crudely

"What's your point?" Mahiru glared at him, clearly upset by his disrespectful language.

"I'm saying he could have been poisoned" he smirked "that makes cook boy our prime suspect"

"Call me chef, I mean no! I didn't do it!" Teruteru pleaded with us.

"Well who else could have done it?" Nekumaru raised a sceptical eyebrow.

"Actually it couldn't have been teruteru" I spoke up "akane was eating tons of that food. She would have died way before byakuya!"

"Ah your my hero hajime. Shall I pleasure your beautiful body as thanks?" His nose started to bleed.

"I'd rather you didn't" I laughed nervously.

"Well if you didn't do it then we're all out of leads" sonia looked horrified.

"Wait are we boned?" kazuichi sweated nervously. I gripped my chest. I hate to admit it but he may be right.

"Don't lose hope hajime" nagito turned to mikan "you did the uptopsy didn't you Mikan. Did you find any traces of poison in his system?"

"Well I-I don't have the equipment to say for sure b-but the coughing up blood and the pink post mortem staining indicates ingesting poison" she said nervously.

"God you're so useless pig barf" hiyoko spat.

"Actually that was very useful" chaki smiled "think hajime. If the food wasn't poisoned then where could he have ingested it"

"Byakuya would you like a drink?"

I let out a gasp "Sonia you gave him a drink minutes before his death!"

"W-what are you saying?" Sonia turned pale.

"Hajime you can't seriously be blaming miss Sonia" kazuichi glared at me.

"Exactly. It is as souda-san says" sonia said firmly "there is no proof I am responsible"

I grimaced. She's right.

"Not quite princess" nagito smirked "see I scrubbed the plates and cups for poison and the cup you served to byakuya came back positive and not just for any poison. It was icid poisoning. A flower that only exists in the kingdom of Novoselic!"

"Ah!" She let out a surprised squeak.

"That was a careless mistake Sonia. Clearly this plan wasn't well thought out" nagito shook his head "normally I'd help you to achieve your hope but hajime and chaki came so close. I felt like helping them out"

"Thanks I guess" I smiled nervously before turning back to Sonia "You planned to kill byakuya during that dinner party. I can't imagine you're the type to kill someone in cold blood so I assume you did it because of your missing memories. For that reason you killed him, didn't you sonia!" I pointed at her accusingly.

"I-I-I" she stammered helplessly. There was nothing she could do. We had her cornered and all she could do was struggle like an animal awaiting the slaughter "I had to. Who knows what could have become of my kingdom. I had to know!" She burst into tears.

"Miss Sonia" kazuichi teared up. The rest of us were equally as emotional. This isn't fair!

"Alright that's enough of the melodramatics" monokuma cut us off "make with the voting!"

"No please I can't die. My kingdom needs me!" She begged but there was nothing we could do. So with a heavy heart we voted for Sonia...
