"I can't blame you for getting overwhelmed. This whole situation is a lot to take in"
My vision returned to me, revealing the face of nagito komeada. I'm back.
"Hey are you listening to me-ahh!" I cut him off by pulling him into a hug. He's alive. Thank god.
"Uhh not that I don't appreciate the nice gesture why exactly are you hugging me?" He gave me a confused look.
"Sorry. I just got a little overwhelmed" I scratched the back of my head nervously "let's start again. I'm hajime hinata"
"Hajime it's a pleasure. I'm nagito komeada" he shook my hand "my talent isn't anything to write home about. I'm just lucky. I got in the wonderful hopes peak by winning the lottery. Pretty pathetic I know" he stared at his hand with a self deprecating smile "what's your talent?"
"Oh I don't have one" I shrugged.
"Huh?" He gave me a confused look.
"Yeah. I actually just paid my way into hopes peak. Kinda bad luck I got caught up in all this insanity" I laughed nervously.
"Well I appreciate you being so honest" nagito smiled as he reached out and took my hands "let's do our best to raise the other ultimates up okay?"
"Sure" I smiled nervously "hey would you mind introducing me to the other ultimate?"
"Of course. It's important that we have a good connection with each other" he took my hand and led me away. I stared out into the horizon with a determined nod. This time I know what to do.
