Hajimes pov
"So hungry" kazuichi fell to his knees, clutching his stomach "I heard starving to death is the most painful way to die and I'm starting to understand why" he hugged his knees. Mahiru bent down and rubbed his back.
"Wah I miss food" akane whined "hey hajime. You kinda look like a chicken leg!"
"Akane stop biting me!" I pushed her face away.
"That's enough akane!" Nekumaru peeled her off of me. She growled and kicked like a wild animal.
"It's hopeless" Kazuichi's body shook with tears "I can't believe this is how it ends. After the struggles we went through and all the people we lost this is how it ends? This is some kind of sick joke!"
"Get it together kazzy!" Fuyuhiko grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him hard "we're not going to die. We'll find a way out of this hell. I stake my life as a Yakuza on it"
"I'm scared to die" he sobbed helplessly "I just want to go home"
"Oh kazuichi" mahiru pulled him into a hug, her body shaking. I've never seen everyone so scared before. It almost made me wish when they were too busy berating me about being the supposed traitor to think about their impending doom.
"Come on kazuichi. Let's take you back to your room. You'll feel better after some rest" fuyuhiko gently led him away. I looked over at gundams stoic expression. I could already tell what he was thinking.
I knew what I had to do.
