Hajimes pov

"If Nagito's cause of death wasn't suicide then we're all out of leads" kazuichi looked around fearfully. The poor guy doesn't handle being put in charge very well.

"Think through it kazuichi" I said gently "think back to the window. Did you notice anything strange?"

"Well yeah there was blood on the window. Come to think of it the rope had what looked to be a handprint-" he paused, his eyes wandered over to my bandaged up hands.

I nodded encouragingly. He swallowed "hajime. Please tell me it wasn't you"

I laughed shakily "I wish I could buddy. I really do"

"No fucking way" fuyuhiko muttered in disbelief. Akane yelled something I couldn't make out and chaiki averted her eyes sadly.

"Hajime why" mahirus eyes filled with confusion "I can't believe you'd want to kill anyone, not even nagito. You've been fighting for us this whole time so why!"

"It was an accident" I looked away shamefully "I was trying to stop his crazy plan. I forgot about my cut hands and it slipped out of my hands. I'm sorry about all this"

"This isn't fair" mahiru shook her head with tears in her eyes "how can we send you to your death for trying to save someone!"

"Not my best friend. This is too much!" Kazuichi sobbed helplessly. The others looked equally disheartened.

"Come on guys. Be brave for me and press the voting button" I smiled encouragingly.

"Damnit" fuyuhiko cursed but there was nothing they could do.

My execution took place in a classroom. I was surrounded by frightened students. My body moved on its own, picking up a katana and slicing them to pieces. When I looked in the mirror and saw a long haired man staring back at me.

"Izuru" I whispered.

A noose lowered down to me. Izuru reached up for it, forcing me to do the same. My throat burned as the air was ripped from my lungs. My consciousness faded as my life came to an end.
