-Jennie.- The girl feels like someone is taking her hand, trying to attract attention.- Are you okay?

Kim doesn't immediately come out of her trance, continuing, as if in slow motion, to observe the new art director, who is already enthusiastically discussing something with Seokjin and the department managers. They glance around the room, and it seems that Seokjin and the others quickly bring her up to speed, giving her a work tablet. Jennie watches the man's actions and how he calls Nayeon, Chan, Alex, as well as the other heads of sub-departments to them.

-Yes, I...- Jennie blinks a few times, trying to shake off the veil of mild surprise, and then looks at Lisa.- It's just a little unexpected...

The girl runs her hand through her hair, running her gaze around the room, noticing that many have already begun to disperse to their workplaces, and now Kim really wants to leave with everyone, because it seems that a lump of nervousness and irritation is growing inside.

-Wait a minute.- Lisa puts her hand on her friend's back, gently turning her back to face the epicenter, where Seokjin and Rose are standing.- I think Seokjin's calling you.

Jennie again draws attention first to the man who is actively saying something to Rose, then as he points his hand at Kim herself, and Rose looks from an empty point in space to Jennie. Now, for the first time, the blonde pays attention to Jennie and their eyes meet.

-We'll meet at lunch.- Jennie wearily holds out to Lisa, throwing her arms at her sides.- I think I need to introduce myself.

-Good luck.- Lisa gives her friend a wide and warm smile, conveying her optimism and not showing how shocked she is by the news too.

Jennie slowly approaches Seokjin and Rose, bypassing the crowd of colleagues who have already greeted the new art director, now leaving Kim alone with the two of them. Now she can hear their conversation more and more clearly.

-...anyway, do you remember what we discussed?- The man continues to tell Rose.

The blonde closes her eyes and nods approvingly, smiling faintly at him. She opens her eyes and turns her gaze back to Jennie, who is already approaching them, while continuing to hold the tablet in her hands.

-I remember. Don't worry about it.- The last thing Rose has time to answer is how Jennie takes all Seokjin's attention on herself.

-Jennie.- The man says with a slight smile.- I'm glad you came over. Rose, this is Jennie. She's our chief UX/UI designer, well, I've already told you that.

Jennie doesn't know how to behave now that two pairs of eyes are completely focused on her. Rose carefully examines the girl, keeping a slight smile on her face.

-Jennie.- Park says.- Nice to meet you.

Rose nods at her, and then continues to examine her. She was already aware of the work Kim had done in the department. This already speaks of her as a strong specialist, with whom it is worth being on short terms, and perhaps she will help Rose adapt to the company faster and easier.

-Likewise.- Jennie just answers, pulling on a smile on duty.

Jennie is worth a lot of effort to smile at her new boss when everything inside is bursting with anger and resentment at the whole situation.

The blonde, clutching the tablet to herself with both hands, continues to look at Kim, and then decides to ask her a question:

-Jennie, Seokjin said that you headed the department during the period when the former director left the company, right?- Rose doesn't break eye contact with the brown eyes opposite, and Jennie holds herself confidently, not even trying to look away.
