Meanwhile, Jennie and Lisa, having returned to Kim's house, bought all sorts of junk food and some beer, after which they got cozy on the couches. The girls spent the whole evening just discussing Lisa's fight with her best friend, and Jennie gave all her time to her friend, realizing that she needed it. Maybe it was even for the best: the brown-haired girl could take her mind off Rose a bit and unload her head, and the second bottle of beer was starting to cloud her mind a bit. In between conversations with her friend, Jennie saw Rose's new Instagram postings. While Lisa unpacked a pack of chips, Jennie, without even thinking about it, decided to reply to one of the blonde's photos. Maybe if she had been a little more sober, she would have thought twice whether to do it or not, but since the second bottle of beer gave the go-ahead, the girl did what she did.
When she got an answer from the blonde after a while, she started to smile idiotically, and then to laugh, from which Lisa looked at her friend with her already drunken look and, having roughly imagined what she was smiling about, rolled her eyes and plopped down on the sofa again.
Jennie quickly replied to Rose's message, and while she waited for Rose's reply, she tried to return her attention to her friend. Lisa gave her a sly look that only made her wag her hands, saying, "What's wrong?"
-Do you want to talk about your sexy boss?
Lisa is already curious herself to update her database on her friend's current feelings for her boss.
-There's nothing to talk about.- Jennie sighed, reading a new message from the blonde.
Kim smiles warmly and then sends more messages. Rose doesn't reply to the message for a long time, and Jennie realizes that the girl is probably busy right now, so she says good night one last time and turns off her phone, placing it on her stomach.
Before the girl could continue her dialog with Lisa, the phone vibrated again. She involuntarily bites her lip with a smile, reading the last message with a reminder that tomorrow they should go to the exhibition together. Jennie replies to the message briefly, but to herself she is already anticipating going to the exhibition together with Rose. She likes going out with just the blonde, feeling that comfort and coziness next to her. When someone else is with them, it becomes more difficult to keep herself in control and not to overstep the boundary in communication, but when they are alone, they can talk for a long time, touching even more personal topics, and Jennie likes it. She's getting to know Rose a little bit at a time and she wants more each time.
There is no reply from Rose, but the blonde likes the message, and Jennie realizes that now the dialog is definitely over and it's okay to continue chatting with her friend, who just seems to be hungry for more details.
-Why are you looking at me like that?- Jennie rolled her eyes, getting up from the couch and then heading into the kitchen to make coffee for the two of them.
Lisa cleared her throat and staggered up from the couch and staggered after her friend, climbing onto a bar stool.
-Do you know that Rose is almost certainly jealous?- Lalisa squints, interlocking her thumb and forefinger, waving them in the air
Jennie felt her heart skip one excited beat somewhere in her chest, and turned to her friend, frowning. Lisa was already looking at her slyly, but with a slightly drunken look.
-How many bottles have you had?- Kim tries to sneer, looking around the room playfully, counting the empty bottles.
-Jennie, I'm serious.- Lisa said more seriously, maintaining eye contact with her friend.- She was literally staring at you the whole time. She was looking at you, then at the phone, then at you, she wasn't interested in anything else. I swear to you!
