Jennie doesn't know how many hours in a row she's just lying on the bed and staring at the snow-white ceiling, but she realizes that it's been quite a while, because the sun has long since risen and the first messages are arriving on her phone. It's probably from Taehyung or Lisa.

The girl's eyes are red and tired from shed tears, and thoughts about Rose eat away at her soul. Jennie is so sorry that she fell for it, although she knew at every step where her feelings for the blonde would lead her. Every step towards Rose was accompanied by a warning sign: "Stop!", but Jennie made a choice in favor of feelings and, closing her eyes, continued on her way. But what now? Everything seemed to be simpler when they were held together only by the work chain of command, but now everything has changed. Rose's leaving, which means it's over. Kim isn't ready for a long-distance relationship, especially if it can't even begin. With Irene, they were together for a few years and they couldn't last. Even though Jennie didn't cheat on Irene, she felt loneliness and longing and she doesn't want to feel that way again, especially with the person she's so much in love with.

Jennie has absolutely no idea what she should do. Retreat, roll back to the stage of a professional relationship and live in pain until Rose leaves in March, and maybe the feelings will be gone by then? It's unlikely, and Jennie has little idea how she can now keep more distance with the person she's in love with. She can't judge the blonde for her choices either, realizing that she chose the best for herself, but that doesn't make Jennie feel any better. She is in a lot of pain from the realization that she got what she feared so much all along.

Maybe she should just go with the flow and keep socializing like before? But then what? What would change? Will Rose suddenly change her mind and give it a chance? Will she give up a good opportunity for what? An uncertain relationship that may not even have a future? Jennie even chuckles bitterly, realizing the absurdity of these thoughts. Maybe she should try to keep her distance, communicating only for work, and everything will come to naught? Such a scenario is unlikely, because the girl has strong feelings for Rose and now she can afford to allow the thought of distance with the girl, but if she only sees the blonde, the veil will immediately cover her, and she will want with every cell of her body to be with the one who at the snap of her fingers can break her heart and soul. Jennie once again asks herself the one and only question, "Why her?"

-No fucking way!

The first thing Taehyung utters when Jennie, sitting with a cup of coffee on the couch, tells her friend about Rose and her contract.

-I don't know what to do.- Jennie stares blankly at herself because she's tired of crying, tired of feeling this goddamn pain and anger.- She's leaving, having made a choice not in my favor, and now it's obviously over. How to keep my distance from her now, I have no idea.

Taehyung genuinely feels sorry for his friend and has absolutely no idea how to help her. The guy is a little angry at Rose for knowing, apparently for a couple months, that she would sign the contract and leave, but letting herself and Jennie get close to each other, knowing full well that Jennie has a crush on her. Taehyung is sure almost for sure that Rose is aware that Jennie is in love with her and yet kept letting her close and going along to get along. The guy also wants to believe that the blonde also has similar feelings for the girl, but made a choice thinking with her head, not her heart, and hopes that Rose will be as hurt by the breakup as Jennie is, because that would be fair.

-Let's go to the bar tonight.- Taehyung suggests.- The one we went to last time. The guys invited me, but obviously you could use a night out, too.

Jennie chuckles tiredly and looks up at her friend, who is already sitting across the table from her, scrutinizing her face.
