When Jennie had decided to unwrap the gift from Rose while sitting by the decorated tree, she had little idea what it might have been. She felt a slight tremor in her chest, and she couldn't think about what the blonde might have given her.

-If you don't do it, I will!- Ella couldn't stand it, sitting across from her sister and looking curiously at the beautifully wrapped gift.

Jennie glared at her sister, and then, sighing, carefully unwrapped the gift. As soon as the wrapping began to reveal the contents, the girl realized and smiled idiotically.

-Books?- Ella clarified, watching as her sister pulled out two books completely and began to look them over.

-We were discussing our favorite books the other day, and I told her this one was my favorite.- Jennie shows her sister the cover of a square hardcover book.- But I've only read it electronically, and I think she's decided to add it to my collection.

She smiles stupidly, running her fingers across the cover, reading the title, "Steal Like an Artist." She flips through it quickly, looking through the pages. It seems that there was a strong desire to reread the most inspiring book for her.

Putting that book aside, the girl began to read the title of another, more standard in form, "Burn Your Portfolio" by the same author. Jennie hadn't read it, but she had heard of it. It would give her something to do on the plane and in Calgary during her free days.

-I think there's something in the wrapping.- Ella notices inside the neatly unwrapped paper.

Jennie picks up a small, flat circle that looks like a post-it and, turning it over, sees it beautifully written: "Art Director". The girl smiles even wider, realizing that Rose has decided to add to the collection of stickers on the lid of Kim's laptop. The girl gives herself full credit that this gift from Rose is insanely cute, showing how attentive she is to details and everything around her. She really listens and remembers, and Jennie wonders if she does it with everyone or just the ones she's really interested in.

-I think it's very nice.- Ella says with a sly smile, glancing at the presents in her sister's hands and at her sister, who smiles stupidly.- I don't know how you'll make it to the end of March.....

Jennie looked reproachfully at her sister, though she herself completely agrees with her words. She has absolutely no idea how they're going to make it work when things are already going beyond the shores. Tonight it could have gone off the rails if Jennie had just turned her head off for a second and moved a fraction closer to Rose, touching her lips with her own, but Kim is fully aware that she would have ruined all the good things between them, and Jennie isn't ready for that.

Before going to bed, lying in bed, the girl decides to type Rose a message and thank her once again for the gift, hoping that her phone is in sleep mode.

Jennie: Thanks again for the gift😊

Jennie: I was smiling like an idiot😄

Kim bites her lip with a slight flutter in her chest as she rereads the messages and then decides to type a couple more, realizing that she'll probably still be sound asleep tomorrow morning:

Jennie: I don't know exactly what time your flight is, but I wish you a good flight :)

Jennie: Message me when you get there so I'll be cool 🙂

She sends the last message, still feeling the excitement in her chest, and turns the phone off with a satisfied smile. She makes herself comfortable on the bed, and Ella is snoring in the star position, throwing her arms and legs over her sister. Jennie lets herself drift off to sleep with warm thoughts of tonight, keeping a slight smile on her lips.
