A new working day in the department has already begun under the full-fledged leadership of Rose. In the coming week, the girl will have to analyze all the work processes, find out what resources are involved, how much time is spent on certain stages. But the most important thing is what problems and difficulties the employees eventually faced while working with the former art director.
Of course, the blonde already has an approximate action plan, but it should be improved by getting more information and feedback from employees. At this stage, it is difficult to assess how bad things are in the department until full-fledged work on the project begins. And, to be honest, Rose doesn't want to check this at the launch stage of the project, so that chaos would eventually unfold at the very start.
The most important sub–department with a large number of employees is UX/UI, and the most important problems that may arise are there. This sub-department has the most processes, because they are the main task of developing the user interface. Other sub-departments are located on the floor below, such as graphic design, sound effects design, animation design, virtual and augmented reality, and these are just the main ones. They all have fundamentally different tasks, but the art director must understand the basic principles of their work, as well as manage, ensuring that in the end all the work of the sub-departments sounds like a symphony in the form of a finished product.
It's already the middle of the working day, and Rose has once again completed a small survey of employees who head their sub-departments, with the exception, of course, of the main one. By way of elimination, she decided to start with less, leaving the main problem with the main sub-department for later. So there will be some order in her head and she will be able to concentrate only on the UX/UI department. And then, of course, the blonde was ready for real difficulties.
Now the girl, trampling around her office with a tablet in her hands, is studying the current tasks of the sub-departments and the frequency with which similar tasks are closed. She makes notes to herself if she notices any problems or irregularities in the processes.
The doors to Rose's office are always wide open, which encourages open communication with employees so that they can come in and ask something at any time. And for Rose, this is a good way to assess the relationship between employees.
And now, out of the corner of her eye, she notices Jennie passing by, chatting with one of the employees, heading towards her workplace.
-Jennie.- Park calls out to the girl, leaving the office, still holding the tablet in her hands.- Can I talk to you for a minute?
Rose comes closer to the girl, watching as she says something to her subordinate and lets him go. She returns a couple of steps towards Rose, standing opposite.
Jennie glances around the workspace, where all the colleagues are busy with their own business, and only a few of them are watching from under their brows that Rose wants to discuss something with the girl.
-Yes?- Jennie raises an eyebrow questioningly, looking at her boss, slightly raising her head, because the blonde is a little taller.
Kim notices that Rose looks more informal today: dressed in a white tight-fitting T-shirt tucked into blue jeans and an open light khaki shirt. And only the badge hanging around her neck says that she is not an ordinary employee, but an art director.
-I would like to discuss with you the processes and problems within the department.- The blonde starts the conversation, looking exactly into the eyes opposite, keeping a slight smile on her face, endearing herself.- After all, you have experience. Your opinion and conclusions, which I think you made after the management, can be useful to me and help me optimize all processes.
