The next day, Jennie was finalizing the last steps of the presentation for Rose. The girl was as focused on her work as possible, only allowing herself to think about Irene a couple of times. Jennie texted her ex that they could talk tonight, and she agreed almost immediately. For a second, Kim wondered if Irene had really gotten something in her head and decided to redeem herself in a way that Jennie didn't understand. In any case, she had decided everything for herself, and no matter what Irene said or suggested to her, the result was the same.

In between work, the girl occasionally glanced at her employees, who, surprisingly, were working hard today. Many were visiting Rose's office quite often, and it wasn't hard to guess that all their unusual activity was related to the new project, and some were taking the boss's assignment seriously. Nayeon had also approached Jennie for some advice on interesting features and ideas she'd discovered during the research she was doing, and Kim couldn't help but praise her employee for her enthusiasm, and noted that the ideas she'd picked up were good.

Many of the guys towards the end of the day also approached Jennie or asked her to come over to give some advice, because towards the evening Rose had to leave for a meeting with Seokjin, and Kim realized that the blonde was unlikely to return today.

For the company, this is the first electric car in operation. Before that, they had to work with internal combustion cars and hybrids. As a rule, many of them had a classic interface and dashboard, but progress has been made and more and more functions have moved to the center panel. This was brought first by hybrids and then by electric cars. That's why this project is so important. It's a new experience, and all the guys seem to be really fired up, so they started doing active research. But, of course, it's quite difficult to do, because the whole field they are working in is like behind seven seals.

Jennie was pleased with her productivity today, as well as the productivity of her boys. That pleased the girl, and she was eager to see what they had marked for themselves for a future brainstorming session with Rose.

Returning home, the girl talked to her sister on the way home, and she told her about how her classmates were planning to go to Los Angeles for a week after graduation.

-Los Angeles?- Jennie exclaimed in surprise into her headset, turning her head sideways to safely cross the crosswalk. - It's on the other side of the country! Do you want to go to Los Angeles?

Kim slips her hand out of her jacket pocket, rubbing her frozen nose, then shoves it back in and buries it deeper into her soft black scarf. How the earphones are a lifesaver right now, as it's getting colder and colder outside.

-I didn't say I wanted it.- Ella grumbled on the other end of the line.- But I haven't really made up my mind. Honestly, I just want to go home and look for a job...

Jennie hears her sister's voice sink a little, and sighs. The girl has already approached her condo, so she stops for a second not far from the doors of the building.

-Listen.- Jennie says in a warmer voice.- If you want to go to L.A., I'll support you, and if necessary, I'll put a couple thousand dollars on your card for a nice vacation.

Jennie realizes that her sister may not get that chance anytime soon, because she'll need to start looking for a job, and when she finds one, she'll need to build up a vacation. Work can get so damn tight in its clutches that once you turn around, you realize you haven't had any proper fun either. While Ella is young and full of energy, Jennie would like her sister to have a blast.

-Are you serious?!- Her sister exclaims happily into the phone and Jennie rolls her eyes with a smile as she walks to the door and enters the building.- Damn, I should have recorded that...
