-You're leaving today?- Rose asked, taking a cup of coffee from the table.

Morning came and the girls woke up together in the hotel room where Joy was staying. After taking morning treatments, they decided to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Today was a day off and Rose was in no hurry, so she allowed herself to spend some more time with the girl, because there was no telling when they would meet again.

-Yes.- After taking a sip of her coffee and clearing her throat, Joy answered, then leaned her arms on the table and watched Rose closely.- In fact, I probably haven't told you, but I'm planning to move to Los Angeles.

The blonde aligns herself back and, echoing her friend's actions, also leans her arms against the surface of the table, watching Joy with a slight smile of surprise.

-Really?

-Yeah, you know.- Joy shrugged, picking at a pancake and jam with her fork.- It was high time to do it. I'm getting more and more work there, and I like LA.

-The main thing is that you feel comfortable.- Park smiled warmly, touching her friend's arm and stroking her hand with her thumb.- I have a lot of friends there.

Joy smiles as she watches her friend stroke her hand with her own, then looks up at her.

-Wouldn't you like to leave Toronto?

Rose smiles weakly, then takes her hand away from the girl and picks up her coffee cup.

-No.- She shakes her head and takes a sip.- I like Toronto. L.A. is not for me. I can take a vacation or go on a business trip, but I don't want to live there.

Joy smiles sadly, then shifts her gaze back to her plate.

-It's a pity.- As she said this, the girl glanced for a second at Rose, who was watching her intently.

-I know.- Park replies with a faint smile, propping her head up with her hand.

Rose is well aware that if things were a little different and they lived in the same town, Joy would want them to make something work. Rose is a great partner both in sex and in relationships. She is always very attentive and has a special tenderness for girls. With her, anyone will feel comfortable, and the blonde will never cross the boundary if the other one is even slightly against it. She's maintained a great relationship with her exes, especially Hyeri; she looks after her mom with all the love and care she can muster, and that's saying a lot. And right now, all Joy thinks about before they change the conversation is how very lucky the one Rose will love will be....

For Jennie, the weekend had gone much worse than she had expected, and all because of what she had seen in the bar. Getting home in a cab, she tried not to think about the scene with Rose all the way, and it worked a little, because Taehyung told her something, and Kim tried to focus on her friend's words. But at regular intervals she went back into a trance, staring blindly at the back of the front seat and replaying the scene with Rose in her head. It was a disaster.

Of course, Jennie hadn't told Taehyung, Lisa, or her sister anything yet. What was there to tell? That she accidentally saw her boss in a gay bar and how she passionately kissed another girl? It's no big deal! Jennie tries with all her might to let this situation go and forget it, otherwise she just won't be able to look Rose in the eye. It's one thing for Kim to guess that her boss might be playing for her team, and quite another to see it in person. It changes a lot of things.

Jennie remembers all their interactions, their smiles and in-between jokes and doesn't understand where the line is between Rose's usual friendliness and her treating Jennie like a what? As a girl? Kim's thoughts even made her head spin, pushing the intrusive thoughts away, causing Taehyung to glance at his friend for a second before turning his attention back to his phone.
