The team took their boarding seats, preparing to fly several hours to Las Vegas. Jennie, Rose and Julie sat next to each other, while Namjoon, John and Hoseok sat slightly in front, but scattered. Jennie got the porthole seat, Rose the center seat, and Julie the aisle seat, and Jennie is very happy about that. Kim is not very fond of sitting in the middle or on the aisle when someone periodically disturbs her. Now the girl is especially happy that Rose's seat is next to her and they sit close to each other. Jennie likes Julie - she's cool and fun, but not the kind of company Jennie wants to spend time in.
Already as the plane took off, Julie had muttered something about not getting enough sleep and would try to get some, and deep down Rose and Jennie were glad for it, hoping to talk a little.
-How are you?- was Rose's first question, resting her head back in the seat but looking at Jennie.
-Fine, considering I haven't slept properly in I don't know how long.- Jennie replies, also settling more comfortably in her seat, turning her head toward the blonde.
The girls could sit quite close to each other now, and Jennie took advantage of it, giving herself permission to look at Rose more closely, scrutinizing her correct facial features. Her eyes, her lips that curve into a faint smile. Watching the way her blond locks lay on her shoulders, and Jennie wanted to touch them, twisting a strand around her finger, feeling how thick and soft her hair was.
Rose smiles weakly, running her gaze over Jennie's face, who is doing the same now. Beautiful brown eyes with a mischievous sparkle; brown hair that had grown back a little since they'd first met, and a soft smile on her lips.
-I think we'll get some sleep tonight.- Rose replies, but continues to look at the girl, feeling Jennie's hand on her leg next to her own.- Because it's a more leisurely day, but tomorrow we start work.
Jennie smiles warmly, pleased at this, and, after looking long into the eyes opposite, dares to ask:
-How was your trip to Seattle?
At this question, Rose visibly hesitates and her gaze changes, but it's only for a second, and then she smiles weakly again.
-Ahem.- Park cleared her throat and shrugged.- Fine. Expected and planned. The weather was as shitty there as it was in Toronto.
She made an effort to change the conversation and Jennie smiled wider, realizing that she was the only one in Calgary who had been lucky with the weather, and Toronto had fewer good days.
-How informative.- Kim said with a smile.
-That's my opinion.- Rose relaxes and smiles as she looks at Jennie.- Tell me how your trip went.
All the rest of the time the girls chatted about Calgary and Banff. Jennie shared interesting facts and moments that she didn't tell in the messages. The girls laughed a lot, especially at stories involving Ella. Jennie had a lot to tell and the girl did it with such enthusiasm that Rose herself wanted to go to Alberta and spend a few days there. The last few months had been difficult for the blonde and they would remain so for the next six months. She'd have to think about a big vacation for the fall.
The team arrived in Vegas by ten o'clock in the morning and, having reached the hotel, where rooms had already been booked for them, they began to check in. By noon everyone was in their single rooms. Rose and Jennie chose rooms next door and on the same floor, Hoseok and Namjoon also chose rooms next door but one floor below, and Julie and John checked in one floor below. Alas, there were no rooms for everyone next door, and checking in two at a time was not an option, so it's as is. All the hotels near the Las Vegas Convention Center were full because they are ten minutes away from it, which makes them as convenient as possible to visit all the booths. The most important presentations will be at the Las Vegas Convention Center, but some will also go to other convention centers around Vegas.
