Gracie was ignoring me.
It'd been five days since she'd spoken to me, which I'm pretty sure was a record.

She'd been over to the house a majority of those days, hanging around Addy but she made no effort to talk to me.

Not even when I walked into the kitchen with no shirt on, she just stared at me, but made no inappropriate comment. And that's when I knew I'd really fucked up.

It was bugging me more than it should've. Usually I'd be happy that Grace wasn't following me around and flirting with me, but it was annoying me.

Which only drilled in the fact that I couldn't deal with a girlfriend. A girl that I wasn't even interested in was causing me this much drama, so imagine what a girlfriend would do.

Climbing out of my car, I stared up at Gracelyn's house. It was a dumb move—coming to her house—but I just wanted to stop the tension that was brewing between us.

I'd never been to Grace's house, I'd only ever picked her up and dropped her off. Adeline even said she'd only been inside Graces house a handful of times, and it was always when her parents were out.

I knew I should probably get in the car and drive away but I couldn't stop my feet from moving towards the front door.

I'm bulldozing, I noted, but I lifted my fist and knocked on the door.

I heard shuffling on the other side of the door before it flew open and Grace appeared in front of me.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" She snapped, quickly stepping outside and pulling the door shut behind her.

"I just came to apologize," I shifted my weight between feet, "I was a dick when I told the team off of you. I just worry about you, you mean a lot to Addy...and me."

She crossed her arms over her chest and stared at my face with a look of confusion etched on hers.

"You came all the way to my house...to apologize?" She scoffed, "Seems kind of weird."

"Well, yeah," I nodded, "You've been ignoring me, Gracie."

"Purposely, Jonathan," She narrowed her eyes at me, "Because you're an eejit."

"Okay, I deserved that."

"No, I'm serious," She huffed, "Do you have rocks for brains? Because I'm a total catch!"

Shite.

"Come on, Gracie," I sighed, "Don't do that. I just want to go back to being friends."

"Friends," She nodded, "Okay, if you were my friend you'd buy me food."

"What?"

"Friends buy each other food," She looked me up and down, "And it looks like you've shown up empty handed."

What the hell was this girl on about?
