Ever since you were a teenager, true crime cases always amused you. You listened to them almost anywhere, and thoughts went through your mind every time a new one came crushing into your life. Sometimes the killer was dumb and easily caught... And sometimes, it was smart and left no clue, or that's what the media always said. When an unsolved case came to your attention, you searched every little bit you can find and theorized what really happened. After all, your smarts and observation skills were pretty impressive.

All of that gave you the courage to do what you wanted to do: solve crimes. Bring evil to justice and be the best one in the field, so once it was time to leave school and get higher education, you begged your family to let you study criminology, and they fully supported you.

After 4 years of studies, you were out to the field. The first cases that came through you were easy. There was always a clue, always a stupid killer that didn't know what it was doing. Then harder cases were assigned, or at least you were told that, but you always seemed to find something that would lead you right to the answer. You were the leader of your team of other crime investigators, and they admired you deeply. You always caught something that wasn't at plain sight. They loved you, but their incompetence was boring to you.

Your job was starting to be really boring.

You wanted a monster, a genius... An artist. Some psychopath that committed the most atrocious crimes, scenes that wouldn't let you sleep at night. You wanted a smart killer, someone that could get you out of your boredom, crawl under your skin and stress you out like never before.

Even though your life was great, you longed for a crazy genius to rock it. You even thought once about creating your own crazy genius, to be the killer you longed for...

But then, a case of a little girl came to your hands. Emily Crane, a small child of no more than 10 years old, murdered at a carnival. The killer had left no trace and there were finally... No leads.

You studied the crime scene, you studied the body, you watched the cameras, but the quality only revealed a black and white figure. Your genius had arrived, your match. And you were so happy.

Years went by without a single breakthrough on the case. The monster left nothing behind, you had only figured out it was a tall male a few years older than you. No motives. No connection to the victim at all, but soon your genius popped up yet again.

Halloween, 2017. A call regarding some screams shook your station. Thinking it was a possible murder, you were assigned to go and check it out. Suspect was a tall male, about your age... That was wearing a black and white clown costume. Your genius had attacked again. You were following the trail of a serial killer. That first report wasn't the only thing you found that night.

Soon, another report came through the walkie talkies of the investigating team and you insisted on attending that other report. It was recent, maybe your psycho was still there. This time, the place was a pizzeria. Two bodies were found: the manager, turned into a jack o' lantern and an employee, butchered, parts of his body cut off. The scene was horrifying, but after years of investigating dead bodies... The creative kills were refreshing. Whoever had done that, knew exactly what he was doing. That clown was a monster, but a smart one. A creative one. You stayed at the scene a little while longer, looking around for clues. The cameras showed the clown interacting with two girls, then the clown being dragged out of the place and then the same guy... breaking in and killing the two victims found. You watched the footage over and over again, amazed. No hesitation was seen. You smiled. Oh, you didn't know who this was, but you were going to find him.

You were going to find your killer. Your case.

But before you knew it, another call, another scene that required your presence tuned in the walkie talkies. Not that far away in an abandoned building, screams were heard once more.

You arrived just to see your clown, shooting himself dead. He had abandoned you before you could even have a lead on who he was. One survivor, five victims and the body of the killer.

You stared at the dead body of the clown as he was placed in a bag and then taken away. There goes your fun...

But little did you know, this chase was just beginning.

The miles county clown was more than just a simple human.

Monsters like him can call the attention of the most evil souls in hell.

Writer:

This idea wouldn't leave my mind so I thought I would share it here. I like to develop relationships, so I'll try to slowly introduce all of the ideas I have in mind.

Reading other fanfics of this clown in this app made me realize the reader is normally a victim that catches his attention, but I want something different.

I want a reader that fits. Someone that has the potential to be as insane. It'll take a bit but I hope to develop this correctly. I'll do my best to not disappoint.

I hope you enjoy my take on this.
