Just as you promised, the next day the DNA test results were out. The first sample matched the DNA found at the Miles County massacre of 2017. The blood belonged to Art the Clown, just as you said.

The second test matched the DNA of an adult woman called Amanda Castelo, previously taken to prison for fraud. The woman was immediately taken into custody, even though she tried to resist and claim she wasn't the serial killer known as Gummi. No one believed her. Her house was searched, but no clown outfit or weapons were found.

You told your team she probably had a hideout where she kept those things. They immediately bought your explanation.

After the results were out, you immediately made sure Sienna Shaw was released from custody, and just as you promised, she was escorted to a rehabilitation center not that far away.

As soon as she got there, she gave you a call.

-"Hey, Y/N? It's Sienna..." She started.

-"Oh hey! How are you? Did you get there safely?" You replied.

-"Yeah I did... Thank you for everything." Sienna said, pausing for a moment. "Can I ask you for a favor...?"

-"Of course, what do you need?" You replied.

-"I was wondering if... you could get me some books? While I'm here I want to research more about what I told you. I wanted to know if..." She suddenly stopped. "Nothing. I just want to know more about demons and... stuff..."

She still didn't trust you enough to tell you about her cousin and the sword, didn't she?

-"Woah... I would recommend you to rest and not think about it for a while, but... I'll see what I can do. " You replied. "Do you need anything else? If you feel unsafe I can assign an officer to stay with you there."

-"No it's fine... You've already done so much for me." Sienna replied, letting out a sigh.

-"Alright then. I'll get what you asked for and come see you as soon as I can. Take care." You replied, finishing the call.

Little did Sienna know, that call was on speaker... And the clown she feared so much was listening.

-"She'll fully trust me sooner or later. I'll be all she has left, at least in the living world." You said, turning over to look at Art. His smile was wide. He was happy with you and all you did for him.

-"And once she's vulnerable and can't escape us, I'll tell her who I really am... That should break her enough to let our demon friend possess her. Nothing hurts like treason." You said, smiling back at him.

Art clapped happily and then pulled you closer. You deserved a reward. He let you snuggle into him and get comfortable in his chest. As much as a monster he was... As far from human as he was... You could still hear a heartbeat coming out of it. A little sign of hope that maybe... he really did or at least could love you. You closed your eyes, listening carefully.

To add more to your happiness, you suddenly felt his hand going through your hair. His touch was everything. It meant so much.

He was really proud of you.

The next day you went from bookstore to bookstore looking for what Sienna had asked you. You even looked for articles that talked about the matter, which you sent to her.

After you had like five books, you headed towards the rehabilitation center.

-"Hi, I'm here to visit a friend and give her a few things." You told the receptionist of the place.

-"What's the name of your friend?" She asked, turning over to type something in her computer.

-"Sienna Shaw." You replied. The receptionist searched for the name in her computer.

-"And what is your name?" She asked.

-"Y/N." You replied. The woman typed again and then made a call.

-"You can come in. Room 213, left hallway. You have an hour."

As soon as you heard that, you walked towards the hallway and looked for Sienna's room. You knocked and a few moments later she opened the door.

-"Officer... You came." She said, looking at you with a sad smile.

-"Of course I did... Here, I have what you wanted." You said, giving her the bag with the books you picked out. "I also sent you some articles I found on the matter... I hope it helps."

-"Thank you so much... Really." Sienna said, looking into the bag and then leaving it aside for now.

You spent the rest of the hour you had of your visit talking and bonding. Sienna seemed so nice, but she was the only one that could end your clown forever, and you just couldn't allow that.

Not to mention he would be so happy with you.

She deserved this. She deserved to break.

Poor girl, she didn't know she was slowly becoming friends with her enemy, one of the persons she hated and ruined her life.

Once the hour was over you said goodbye to her, promising that you would come back to visit her soon.

A smile crossed your lips the moment you were alone.

Everything was going according to plan.
