Chapter 29: Possessed.

To make sure Jonathan would stayed broken, you edited some pictures and brought them to him. 

Art forced him to look at them. Jonathan now believed Sienna was completely dead. 

He was broken. 

It was finally time to bring your demon friend back from hell and into Jonathan's body. 

It was one of the main pieces to destroy Sienna. 

You left Jonathan alone for a few days, wanting him to overthink and blame himself. There was no room for failure after all. 

After you and Art decided it was time, he guided you on what materials you needed for this ritual. 

As a demon, he now knew how to do this. Or that was what you thought. 

Once everything was gathered and ready, you and Art headed to the warehouse.

Jonathan looked dead. Not as in not moving or breathing kind of dead, but dead. 

Dead inside, completely destroyed. 

It was almost as if he was an empty shell now. As if there was no soul in him anymore. 

Your tactics had worked perfectly. Everything went according to plan. 

You set the things down for the ritual. Art grabbed the boy and tied him up, setting him in the middle of the room as you surrounded him with the materials you gathered beforehand. 

Once everything was set, the chanting started. You chanted, making sure to say everything right and commit no mistake at all. 

Everything had to be perfect. 

After a few minutes, the air started to feel weird and a red light started slowly appearing under Jonathan. 

It was working. 

The smell of sulfur invading the room and it slowly started to feel hotter. 

Suddenly  the red light became brighter and Jonathan elevated, his eyes turning white. 

It was working. 

Now all he had to do was not to resist, and allow your demon friend to use him as a host. 

Even though the boy was broken, he still struggled and tried to fight. 

Maybe in the very inside he knew you and Art were doing this for a reason. 

But after all that had happened... Jonathan finally gave in. 

The moment you saw his eyes turn yellow you knew you were successful. 

The temperature slowly lowered, the red light faded and the smell of sulfur slowly dissipated. 

The ritual was completed successfully. 

'Jonathan' stood up, smiling as he realized he was back to the living realm. 

He looked at you and Art. 

-"Well done. I know why you chose her now. Good job, officer." The demon praised you. 

You smiled. 

-"Of course. Allow me to tell you about everything you've missed..." You said, starting to tell what had happened in the past few months. 

From all the kills you and Art had done to Jonathan's torture to you befriending Sienna. 

The demon was pleased at your accomplishments. 

Now there was just one more thing let to do: get the bait for the final straw and bait: Gabbie. 

The demon explained to you and Art that the girl was still trapped in hell, but he knew exactly how to get her out. 

Gabbie was the only possible hope for Sienna to resist possession once again, so of course... You had to kill her in front of her. 

You. 

If Sienna not only found out her friend, the only person who believed her was a monster but also saw her killing the only thing she had left...

She was sure to break. 

You knew what you had to do... And even though you had a little bit of humanity when it came to children, if it meant a reward from Art... You would do it. 

After all, he was already so happy that you agreed to do so. 

You, Art and the demon reused the materials for the possession to do another ritual, now to open a portal to hell and find Gabbie. 

Before doing the second ritual, you made sure to dress up as Gummi, wanting to hide your identity from the child as a precaution. 

The demon took care of most of it, and sure enough after a few minutes, he reappeared with Gabbie. The girl hugged 'Jonathan' and screamed as she saw you and Art there. 

-"Jonathan! We have to run! Quick! We have to find Sienna!" She screamed, trying to drag him away. 

The demon smiled at her. 

-"Jonathan is gone Gabbie. And soon Sienna will too. This time with no tricks." The demon replied. 

Gabbie started crying as she realized that wasn't Jonathan...

There was no way the plan was going to fail.
