The body at the morgue wasn't far from the bodies at the crime scene in the abandoned building. The coroner was found unrecognizable, with severe trauma in his face. He was hit over and over again, until his face was completely destroyed. Many supplies were missing from the coroner office, all of them materials that could be used as weapons.

No trail showed signs of a body being dragged to the exit. There was no sign of the body of Art The Clown.

Not long after, the report of a body found in a laundromat was all over the local news. You didn't think much about it, but soon the tapes of the place were sent to you... And after watching them and watching the cameras in and near the morgue, you realized there was only one possible explanation: the clown was somehow alive.

You watched amused as you saw him take off his clothes at the laundromat and silently laugh at the newspaper as he waited for his suit to be cleaned. He then seemed to be in the company of something invisible... Maybe he was seeing things? Right at that moment you watched as the laundromat employee woke up, and saw Art killing him before he could even react. You saw the clown clean the scene and leave, his suit and face clean from any blood. 'What a gentleman'. You jokingly thought to yourself as you watched the man.

You realized you were watching your match. Your dream. The culprit of the case you wanted to solve so badly.

Who was the psychopath behind all that face paint? It was now going to be even harder to figure it out, especially now that you realized you were quite literally against a magic clown... But as you watched him, you realized his gloves exposed his fingertips. It was time to do a little more dirty work.

Back to the abandoned building, then to the scene at the morgue and finally, the stop at the laundromat. You gathered every piece of evidence you could find. Fingerprints, DNA, tapes... You even reviewed his weapons carefully, trying to find a clue.

Maybe your artist wasn't as clever as you initially thought. Sure, he was creative, but he had left a great amount of evidence for you to review. Evidence that could lead to him.

The days that followed the testing of the DNA and the fingerprints were slow. No sign of more murders. No clue about the whereabouts of your clown. You could just hold his meat cleaver, review tapes, rebuild the events of his murders and wait.

But when you received the call from the analyzing team, you received no leads. No DNA or fingerprints matched any person on the police data. It only connected the cases with the one of Emily Crane of all those years ago, just as you always suspected.

A small laugh escaped your lips as you hanged up... And sighed in relief.

That was why he was so careless. Even with his DNA and fingerprints in hand, there was no data about him, about his real identity... You caressed the blade of the meat cleaver as you realized your clown wasn't one of those stupid, inexperienced killers. It might be a coincidence. Maybe he didn't know that those clues could lead to him... But you felt like you knew him better. He knew those clues weren't going to lead you to any answer.

He left those for you. On purpose. He was making fun of you right in your face.

And you didn't mind. This game, this case was just starting and you knew that. With that clown running free, you knew soon enough more clues would show up.

-"I'll find you. Don't underestimate me." You whispered, your finger pressing against the blade of the meat cleaver.

Talking to it felt like you could communicate with him. It was almost as if he could listen.

But this was just a little taste of what he had in store for you.

You didn't know it yet, but Art already knew who you were, and he knew you were after him. He had seen it. With a great crime investigator after him, it was normal to feel threatened... But with his newly found powers, what was there to fear?

Maybe he was your priority, but you were certainly not his. He only cared about messing with you, messing with your mind.

Art had many bloody scenes to plan for you, but when such powerful evil is born, an angel is placed to fight against it.

It was going to take some time before you could hear from him again.
