Things were starting to get a little rough, after all, there were a lot of things you had to do.
You had to work investigating Art, yourself and some other extra cases every now and then. You had to visit Sienna Shaw and keep talking with her, being her only support during these times. You had to come with Art every now and then to see Jonathan, screwing up with him psychologically. Art never talked, so you naturally helped with that. If Jonathan was ever found, getting out of suspicion wouldn't be hard. You had everything under control with that one little strike you had done to make it seem like Gummi attacked at the same time you were there. The police fully believed you, they would never believe a teenager over you if he dared to accuse you.
As much as everything was perfectly set, you sometimes barely had time to go out as Gummi. You missed that.
But you were doing all this for him. It didn't matter how tired you were, he was happy.
That's all that mattered.
Or at least that's what kept you going. Art made sure you did.
Still, it was tiring and sometimes even a little bit boring, especially at work. Sure, it was great to have Art's case back in your hands. It was awesome to see what he did without you, what he gifted you to keep you entertained...
But Luka and Glenn were such idiots.
How was one of them even close to catching you not long ago?
Now they were useless.
When it came to writing the report, they shot out ridiculous theories that didn't align with the evidence. It was like they were trying everything, even lying to themselves just to find a lead in the cases.
That was just embarrassing. What would they even do without you?
Probably arrest random witnesses just to see if they were lucky enough to catch the real killer.
Each day that passed it got more and more annoying for you. At least it was funny to see them fall into despair or look horrified whenever a new display from you or Art arrived at the station.
It would be fun to mess with them even further, just to see how it would be.
A new plan started to come to your head, wanting to destroy their hope. But you needed some time to be Gummi for that.
Being a monster was fun. Seeing people crying or begging was fun. It was your nature, it has been ever since the first thought of creating a perfect killer crossed your mind. Art just delayed the process a little bit, but you were always meant to be to end up that way.
To end up having fun with him maybe.
Those thoughts kept you going until the end of the day. As much as you were able to stay put, you still felt extremely tired.
Hanging out with those idiots was just tiring. You felt as if you lost part of your intelligence everyday when you were with them.
That was just a feeling though. You were perfect, just as Art.
You entered your home, noticing it was dark. It took you a little bit of searching to realize Art wasn't there. You let out sigh, settling in your kitchen.
You desperately needed a cup of coffee.
And so you made yourself one, drinking it slowly as your mind screamed for the death of your colleagues.
You were fed up. You just hated idiots.
Why were they partnered with someone as exceptional as you?
You left the empt cup on the sink and headed to your room, deciding to try and rest for now. You needed energy to deal with that again tomorrow.
Yet as hard as you tried, you couldn't sleep. You thought about getting up and finding a victim, but you were too tired for that.
Too awake to sleep, too tired to do something else.
So you stayed in bed, looking up to the roof, thinking about how you could make your job a little more entertaining...
Another encounter... Another thrilling risk should cause a sensation.
You stayed awake for a few hours.
Suddenly you heard noise. Oh, he was back. You turned on one of the lights of the room and rubbed your eyes.
As soon as Art entered the room, he looked at you questioning.
-"No, you didn't wake me up." You said letting out a yawn. He seemed somewhat relieved at your words, how cute. He cared or seemed to. "I just can't sleep... It was a boring long day." You quickly explained.
Art nodded, leaving his trash bag aside and moving closer to you. He turned off the light, leaving you unable to see anything.
You heard movement around. What was he doing?
You gasped as you felt something grab you and pull you closer, forcing you to lay down on the bed again.
You let out a sigh as he held you close. He was allowing you to... cuddle with him.
You smiled, allowing yourself to get comfortable in his chest, feeling his heartbeat and his breathing.
It calmed you down. It washed away all of the thoughts and feelings that were keeping you awake.
This sure had to be a sign that he cared about you, right?
You closed your eyes, the thought making you completely relax and melt into his comfort.
That is all it took to make you sleepy.
You had to spend more time with him, doing what you both liked.
You already had an idea in mind as to what to do, but first...
You enjoyed the moment and finally fell asleep.
