Kirishima smiled at Bakugou's last message. He turned off his phone and put it on the charger. Surprisingly, he actually was tired now. Maybe it was just talking to Katsuki. Whatever it was, as soon as he pulled the covers back over him, he was out like a light.

Katsuki felt like his heart was going to explode. His mind knows that he's said "I love you" to Kirishima before, but to say it like the first time again made him warm.

Unlike Kirishima, Bakugou wasn't able to find sleep. Their conversation seemed to have woken him up more. So he stayed up until morning.

--

Kirishima woke up later in the morning, since it had already been morning when he finally went to bed. He was rested but not fully, still a little drowsy, a combination between just waking up and having gone to bed later than usual.

"Good morning cupcake," Kirishima sat up and rubbed at his tired eyes, Kurai had been sitting on his legs, staring at him with blown up eyes. "Is there something you need, besides breakfast?" He asked.

She looked at the floor, not saying anything. She clearly wants something, besides breakfast, but she either isn't sure how to word it or is too nervous to say it. But it wasn't too hard for Kirishima to figure out, and it definitely woke him up more.

"Do you want papa?" He asked. She nodded as her eyes got watery. He opened his arms and she crawled towards him, leaning against his chest as he closed his arms. "Don't be upset, papa wants to be here too," he rubbed her back.

"He just needs help controlling his quirk right now," Kirishima explained, getting out of the hug and facing her, stroking her hair.

"He didn't need to before," she grumbled.

"Because he knew how to control it before," Kirishima explained further. "He's forgotten that as well," he continued. She looked like she didn't want to hear it.

"He's going to get better soon," the redhead smiled in the hopes of getting her to feel better. It didn't work. She still had a unhappy pout.

"Do you want to go see him?" He asked. They were going to have to leave to get breakfast anyways, Kirishima knows he can't cook and he'll probably burn the house down in an attempt to do so, but they could probably get something for Katsuki and themselves if they plan on going to see him.

Kurai nodded her head and Kirishima smiled further. He pressed a kiss to her cheek before helping her get down to the floor.

"Let's get you ready," they went to Kurai's room and he helped pick what she should wear and he went to his own room to change. Before they left, Kirishima sent a quick text telling Bakugou that they were going to see him and that they would be there soon with food. The redhead didn't get a response until he was in the drive-thru and it was just an "ok".

When they arrived at the hospital and got upstairs, Bakugou's quirk training session had already been over and he was lying in bed, extremely bored.

"Papa!" Kurai shouted with glee, jumping and climbing on top of the bed and giving Katsuki a big hug once she was on it. Kirishima and Bakugou both chuckled as the blond hugged back and Kirishima placed the bag down on a small nearby table. He then came over and joined them.

It feels like everything hadn't happened. Like Bakugou hadn't lost his memory. But their was that back in the mind acknowledgement that they were in the hospital for Katsuki. But it didn't feel like it was because of him forgetting how to use his quirk. Perhaps it felt like after a celebratory mission.

They backed away, Kurai still in his lap.

"How you feeling?" Kirishima asked.

"Better now that you two are here," Bakugou looked between the two in front of them. They smiled in return.

Kurai talked about her time at nonna's and meemaw's while she sat in Bakugou's lap. Kirishima watched as Bakugou was happily and clearly listening, the redhead had already heard this so he didn't really need to pay too much attention.

"How has your quirk training been going?" Kirishima asked as soon as Kurai was finished.

"Good, I guess..." Bakugou mumbled. "It's not going fast enough..." he continued to mumble.

"It takes a long time to control it, especially since you're an adult and your quirk is back at being four," Kirishima explained gently.

"But I want to go home with you guys," Bakugou responded, still sounding a bit whiney. Kirishima's heart melted a little. But he wished for the same thing. He really wants Bakugou to be at home with them. They could get Bakugou's memories back to him quicker that way. Or at the very least get actually started on it.

"We want you at home as well," Kirishima told him. "But we want you to get better as well," he continued. "It's best if you stayed here so you can get better," the redhead finished explaining. Bakugou sighed but nodded.

"We shouldn't have to do this at all," Kurai grumbled. They both looked at her, a little surprised. She was happy not too long ago, and then this sudden burst of anger.

"Kurai-"

"Papa wouldn't be here! He knows how to control his quirk!" She shouted, standing up on the bed.

"Kurai!" Kirishima shouted back as the blond sunk into his bed. The redhead wasn't even sure what to say after that. He knows Bakugou has lost his memory, but he's gaining them back, so can he even say that anymore? But with both of them looking at him expectantly, he feels like he has to come up with something!

Kurai's face was set in a glare as she waited for him to say something and Bakugou's--

He looked away from the blond. He looked desperate and also worried about what the redhead may possibly say. Although Kirishima wasn't even sure what to say!

"You shouldn't be mad at papa, it wasn't his choice for all of this to happen," he said calmly, hoping that was the right thing to say. Thankfully, as Bakugou used to say, the redhead always knows what's to say, and that was the right answer. But Kurai still huffed, sat back down, and shuffled to not face either of them.

"Everything has been so hard for her," Kirishima thought sadly. They should tell her the truth.

"Listen, Kurai, we probably should've told you this when we first found out but-" Kirishima looked at Bakugou. He nodded for the redhead to continue. They both looked back at Kurai and her body was still facing away from them, but her head had turned to looked at them the best she could.

Kirishima opened his mouth but wasn't exactly sure how to word this. He looked back at Bakugou. Maybe he should be the one to say it?

"I've been slowly regaining my memory..." Bakugou said slowly, trying to judge what Kurai's reaction would be. Disbelief? Angry that they hadn't told her sooner? He wasn't sure, and Kurai facing away from them and saying nothing wasn't helping. He should probably continue.

"We are hoping to help me get more once I leave, but we can't promise what we're doing will work," Bakugou continued, again, slowly, as though he was hoping whatever he said wouldn't offend her.

"Then why are we still here!" She cried.

"We need his quirk to be under control," Kirishima reasoned. "We don't want there to be problems," the redhead continued. She pouted and again turned away from them with her arms crossed. Kirishima sighed. He looked over at Bakugou. He can't blame Kurai for her outburst. Everything that has been going on for who knows how long--- Kirishima's lost track--- has been an emotional rollercoaster. But they need his quirk under control.

They don't want anyone else getting hurt...
