Their day at the beach was enjoyable. Although, Kirishima didn't really get the water. Although, from Bakugou's notice. It was on purpose.
He can't help but feel as though the redhead was hiding something from him. It hurt to have doubts in Kirishima, but he couldn't help it. From what he's heard about the redhead-what he does-he can't help but think that.
But he wasn't sure how to bring it up to him without the redhead finding some way out of it. From what he's seen, and remembers slightly. Kirishima doesn't like talking about problems. Rather go around it than directly solve it. Feels as though he's either in denial of something being wrong or he knows there is but he doesn't want people to be worried.
Although, within the past months. Seemed as though everyone was worried about him.
Even Bakugou was now. And he's the one people are also concerned about. If anything, they're worried about him more than they are Kirishima. Which Bakugou feels as though it should be the opposite. But that could just be because he loves Kirishima and would rather they focus on him.
When they got back home, of course, Kirishima tried to take some of the heavy things back inside. Bakugou had to physically stop him in order for him to listen and be convinced to allow Bakugou to handle it. It was a struggle though, but eventually he agreed.
They got back home just in time for when dinner should be made, so after getting everything inside. Bakugou began to make dinner. As well as think of several ways to bring up his concerns to Kirishima.
He supposed he had to wing it. Because his thoughts didn't really get him anywhere. Even though he knows a lot about Kirishima, he doesn't know enough to allow him to know how the redhead would respond.
"Hey...um..." he began. Kirishima hummed in confusion, looking back at him and pausing before he got into bed. "Is there...something...that you're hiding from me?" He finally asked.
Kirishima froze, which was enough of a reaction to tell Bakugou that he was.
"Listen," he started. "If something's wrong, you can just tell me," he approached the redhead. "Even if the problem is...me..."
"There's no problem," Kirishima responded, taking Bakugou's hands into his own. "Especially not with you," he continued. And he was telling the truth. There was no problem with Bakugou. If anything, he's been the opposite.
But there was a bit of that denial with there not being a problem at all.
Bakugou looked at him with such concern, and it made him had thoughts about giving in and just telling him. But he couldn't. Not right now. But that could possibly turn into a not telling him ever.
"Like you said, I'm just sore," he put up a big smile that almost had Bakugou convinced. But he can't help but feel like he wasn't telling him the whole truth.
Kirishima could tell Bakugou knew he wasn't telling the truth. But thankfully the blond decided to just let it go, approaching the bed and crawling on his side and getting under the covers. Kirishima got in beside him as he was putting his hearing aids away.
They snuggled together but Kirishima could feel the tension and struggled to fall asleep for a little while, but he did. Eventually.
The next morning, the tension wasn't as present. But it was still quite known. But thankfully, the redhead got another call from Midoriya.
"We've found our next angle," he told Kirishima.
"Really? What is it?" He asked, of course excitedly and desperately. It was kind of hard to believe Midoriya already found what they'd do next, but then again. It's Midoriya.
