"Put me out of my misery." Evan groaned throwing himself down on my bed.

I'd been minding my own business just trying to play some video games in peace when that peace was interrupted by Evan. He was throwing a tantrum and if it wasn't about my best friend I would have already dialed up Jake to come collect Evan and get him out of my room.

"I would but I think Jake would murder me."

"He probably wouldn't even care since he's going to break up with me and kick me out of his house." Evan complained some more.

I was taking nothing that he said seriously. I knew my best friend very well and I knew there was a zero percent chance he was breaking up with Evan.

"Don't you have like friends you can go to and talk about this with." I looked over at the boy still whining next to me.

"What does it look like I'm doing." He exclaimed.

"I didn't realize I counted as one of your friends."

I was mostly kidding.

"Well when I end up homeless, again. I'm going to need somewhere to stay so I hope you're ready for a roommate."

Fuck no.

Absolutely not.

If Evan even tried to move into my room with me I would dial up Jake so fast. The man would be here to drag Evan back home before he could even start to unpack. I may not hate Evan and I actually considered him a friend but living together? No I'd end up murdering him.

"Jake is not going to throw you out on the street. The dude is totally obsessed with you. It's actually kinda disgusting." I tried to assure him.

"Yeah but he's like mad, really mad. He was doing that cute little face he does when he's trying hide that he's mad. I tried to like fix it but he just left and now he won't answer my millions of messages." Evan grabbed at his phone tapping away as he sent off another text.

"He just left?" I put my controller down to look over at Evan.

It didn't sound entirely like my best friend. Jake being mad and hiding it, well that sounded just like him but he usually didn't just leave. And even if he did it wasn't hard to find him since he wrote it all down in one of his stupid planners.

"Well he had to go visit his aunt because she's moving and he offered to help her pack up her house but he still left."

"Oh so you're being completely delusional." I turned my attention back to my game.

"I'm not being delusional." He shot his foot out kicking my leg.

"If he's helping his aunt move then he's probably busy and hasn't looked at his phone." I told him hoping he'd finally stop annoying me.

"Stop making sense I'm trying to stress in peace." He complained.

"So what did you do to piss off Jake?" I questioned.

"Why do you assume it's my fault?"

I looked over at Evan with my eyebrows raised.

"Okay fine it's my fault. He was trying to get a bag ready to go to his aunts since he's staying the weekend and there was laundry to get done and he decided he needed to clean the room. It was a lot for not a lot of time so I told him I'd get the laundry done. But then I got distracted by my show and forgot. So he got home saw it wasn't done and he tried not to be mad but I know he was. I told him I'd get it done and not to worry about it but he just went and finished it anyways."

"He's not breaking up with you over the laundry." I was really over this whole thing.

It was so ridiculous for Evan to even think that Jake would break up with him especially over something so small.
