The next day Yura was sitting in her class with Yuta quietly next to her.
The boy was strangely quiet and Yura had already asked him about a hundred times if he was alright but he would always brush her off with a nod and mutter a yes.Yura tipped her finger against her cheek lightly as she leaned her chin on her palm. She was bothered and concerned about her best friend but she also didn't want to pressure him and force Yuta to tell her.
When he was ready he would tell her. Yura knew that.
The lesson went by painfully slow and Yira wrote everything down despite not understanding and listening to what the teacher said. Her worry for Yuta was distracting her from that.
The two friends weren't used to the other having problems. The only times they had to vent to each other and overall spoke a out their negative feelings in a serious way was when Yura's mom left and Yuta had his first heartbreak.
Both had been long ago."Okay, class dismissed." The teacher waved them off, also tired already.
As soon as class ended most students began to talk over another in exciting ways and Yura grimaced at the way that literally all of them were excited about something and talking with each other about it now.
"Can't they're life be a bit more boring." Yura muttered at the loudness.
She heard Yuta clear his throat after a minute and he turned in his seat to look at her just before the teacher for the next class walked in and everything went quiet again.
Yuta leaned forward slightly to not get the teacher's attention and disturb the class."I uhm.. I'm not sure if you know but.." Yuta had trouble expressing himself and Yura looked at him encouragingly and with patience.
"You don't keep up with Niki's socials, right?" The boy asked instead.
"No. Why would I? I don't even follow him on any platform. The only thing I'll ever need to have to be in contact with him is his number." Yura said.
"Right." Yuta nodded "Well, then you probably don't know that he posted a story about a party tomorrow evening and he invited the whole school...?" the boy glanced up at her through his lashed as he picked the skin around his fingernail nervously.
"What!?" Yura yelled and turned to look at him before realizing that she was loud and snapped her head to the teacher "I'm sorry sir!" she quickly apologized.
"What happened, miss Nishimura?" The teacher raised his eyebrows with curiosity and the whole class looked at her.
Yura grimaced. Miss Nishimura. The sound of that tasted bitter on her tongue and she wanted to slam her head on the table in front of her in hopes it would make her forget that the man said that.
"Nothing sir, just-" Yura swallowed and forced a polite smile "Can I go to the toilet, please?"
"Go on." The teacher sighed and turned away to continue his class.
