Yuta sat in the cafeteria, watching every corner of the room to see if he could find his best friend.
Yura didn't return to class after to go to the toilet and the boy was worried.

He had stood outside of the girl's bathroom and asked girls that walked out if Yura was in there or if they had seen her but all of them had crushed his hopes with a simple shake of their heads.

Was she in danger? Did something happen? Yuta couldn't shake any possible thoughts off and picked at his food while waiting that she would return. She wasn't answering her phone, Yuta knew that she had it on mute during school but he had hoped that she would at least take a look at it and see his concerned massages.

It never happened and while Yuta was sitting alone in painful silence, it was disrupted by the asshole's best friend himself.

"Where's Yura?" Soul asked, sitting opposite of Yuta.

Yuta looked at him and shrugged, not wanting to talk about her with him.
He didn't even know why Soul was asking. Probably because of Niki. That dark haired devil for sure told his friend to ask about her.

"You don't know?" Soul raised his eyebrows amused and chuckled slightly.

Yuta squinted his eyes at the other male "Is there something you're not telling me?"

"What should I tell you?" Soul mused "That Yura got Niki out of our class and they've been missing since then?"

"What." Yuta's eyes widened. He couldn't believe she would do something like that, especially after their talk.
Yura did sound pretty annoyed at what he said but he fought that it was just the heat of the moment. Was she really that keen on the keeping what she and Niki had?

It was absurd in Yuta's eyes. Nishimura Riki has always been the enemy for Yuta and Yura and now she suddenly likes his company? How stupid. Was she really that naive?
Yuta didn't want Yura to get hurt by the playboy but she also wasn't listening to him and that made him frustrated.

Niki led Yura to the music room down the hall. The girl had to smile has he held her by the hand to show her the way.
She was never in the music room to be honest and she actually never had a reason to. Yura loved music but was never one to play an instrument or record own things, or even write own lyrics.

The dark haired male opened the door to what was basically his second home. The music room gave him peace and happiness when he had his lessons once a week.
He closed the door after they both entered and let go of Yura's hand as she looked around the place.

She was smiling, seeing all the different instruments and other things. Yura grazed her fingertips against the piano that stood by the window. It keys were polished and clean, giving away that the music room was being taken care of frequently.

When Yura turned back around she saw Niki sitting at the drums. Her eyes barely widened in surprise.

"You know I play, right?" He asked, twirling his drumstick between his fingers.

"Yeah." Yura nodded, sitting down by the piano.

"Wanna hear something?"

"Yeah! I mean- sure." Yura nodded again, containing her smile. She never saw someone playing an instrument live, and professionally at that. She knew Niki was good, he had been playing the drums for years.

Niki smirked, twirling his drumsticks in his hands one last time before starting to play. He hit every beat perfectly and nodded his head to the sound of his own music.

Yura had to smile at the sight, automatically tapping her foot to the beat. Niki looked so passionate and tender while playing. It was his element and everyone who was not possibly blind could see that.
He was doing what he's good at and had found fun in it. It was endearing to watch him play, so engraved in his own mind and muscle memory to play every second of it perfectly.

The girl clapped when he was finished and looked at her.
Niki smiled standing up and bowing playfully as if he just performed a great show, which in Yura's eyes he did.

"That was amazing. You're really good." Yura told the boy as he walked up to her, craning her neck to keep eye contact.

"Yeah, I just practice a lot." Niki shrugged, standing right in front of her.

"I always wanted to play an instrument too, but it kinda never happened." Yura told him, keeping the smile as she remembered the dreams of music she had as a kid.

"Really?" Niki asked, surprised but he didn't let it show "What instrument?"

Yura shrugged half heartily, casting her eyes to the instrument she was sitting at "Piano had always been my favorite."

Niki sat down next to her, looking at her with a small grin "Well I can't play the piano but if I ever did, I'll teach you."

"Really?" Yura asked, looking at him with excitement.

"Really." The boy confirmed with a chuckle and a nod, looking ahead of himself to not let the warmth that creeped up his neck show too much.

Yura looked down at her lap with a bright smile, the silence comforting and pleasant as she fiddled with her hands in fluster. Niki was willing to teach her something. It didn't matter that he didn't know how to use the instrument himself but the thought counted.
The girl never even thought that he would willingly spent time with her, at least not when it wasn't about sex.
She felt warm around her heart, realizing that maybe their relationship wasn't just based off of sex but also a slight friendship. And maybe even more.

Yuta rolled his eyes. Soul hadn't left him alone even tho Yuta didn't even reply to his comments anymore. All that was in Yuta's mind was Yura. Was she still with Niki? It seemed like it, if that what Soul said was even true.

His eyes were catded around the room, full tables with students in their friendgroup laughing and having a good time.
His eyes trailed further until his breathing hitched.

Yuta felt anger within him as he saw Yura walk in the cafeteria with Niki at her side. Their hands were brushing against each other as they walked but fortunately neither of them tried to grasp the hand of the other.

The boy stood up, Soul looking at him confused before seeing Niki and Yura too. He stood up and ran after Yuta who was approaching the previously missing couple.

Now how wrong could this go again?
