"Don't get me wrong, but you pretty much ruined everything."
Niki huffed at his best friend's words. A small eyeroll followed but the boy also knew that Soul wasn't wrong. Niki had just told him what happened this morning, everything from waking up next to Yura and going with her and Yuta to school.
"Damn it, I know that. She isn't even looking at me anymore." Niki muttered the last part.
"Rightfully. You basically told her she was just a toy to use for whenever you wanted some fun." Soul shrugged. They were walking through the halls and towards their classroom but no one paid mind to their conversation.
"Is it like that?" Soul questioned after a second of silence.
"Like what?"
"You only want her body for fun?" The boy stopped walking, making Niki stop too, taking the conversation to a whole new point of serious as Soul stared at Niki and waiting for him to answer.
"No." Niki shook his head instantly and then cleared his throat as he realized how sudden his answer came "I mean, I didn't like her at first and yeah it was just for fun at the beginning.. But I care about her. As time passed I've grown to actually really like her. She's definitely not the brat I thought she was." The Nishimura boy chuckled to himself when he said the last bit.
"Good. And she seems to really like you too, more than you would've guessed probably." Soul spoke "So when she tried to kiss you, why didn't you let it happen?" he was confused.
Niki's sighed, hanging his head low before looking at his friend again "I-I don't know okay? I reacted without thinking. I wanted to kiss her, I really really really wanted to kiss her, so desperately!" The boy closed his eyes as he spoke his mind free "But I didn't, and every fiber of my body regrets it. I could punch myself, seriously." He muttered.
Soul stated at him for a while. Niki really seemed to beat himself up over this and he seemed to hate how he reacted, and hate himself. Soul had only briefly seen Yura that day but just that short time was enough to see how upset she was.
She was beating herself up over kissing him, and Niki was beating himself up over not kissing her.
At the beginning Soul liked the drama, but now he just wanted them to work this out. To work out. Their feelings have developed over those months they spent together but they were both too focosed on how they started to see how they could end.
Happy.
Soul had no doubt that Yura could be a good girlfriend for Niki. The Nishimura boy only had like two girlfriends before and that was in middle school, before the whole hookup thing started. He never fell in love and got attached, but Yura got into his heart. And Soul not stand by and watch how Niki pushed her out again.
"Listen," Soul grabbed Niki's shoulders, making him look at his friend "Yura's excuse may be that she's not ready to face you but if you let her do this then she won't ever be ready. So go on and get that girl. Talk to her, tell her your feelings and what she actually means to you and then you'll kiss her like you've never kissed anyone before."
