Mrs. Nishimura was fast asleep on the couch, a blanket draped over her and a few pillows by her side. Niki was sitting in the armchair with Yura sideways on his lap and her head on his shoulder as he had his arms around her and kept the blanket over them.
The movie was playing in the background but even tho Niki was the only one still awake, he didn't pay any mind to the film. He stared down at Yura in his arms, his head resting against the armchair as his eyes were on her.
He saw her eyelids move a bit and used his fingertip to graze the skin on her cheek, gaining a faint sleepy smile from her before her eyes opened and met his.
"Aren't you tired?" Yura asked softly, closing her eyes again and cuddling closer to Niki, intertwining her fingers with his and putting their hands on her lap.
"Not really." Niki mumbled back, his gaze still fixed on her and how beautiful she looked.
Yura opened her eyes again, not wanting sleep when he wasn't sleeping either "Want to watch another movie?"
Niki chuckled lightly "No, you should rest." he kissed her forehead, pulling her closer and resting his cheek against her head.
"No. I'm not tired if you aren't." The girl sat up to prove her point but her still sleepy eyes and smile made Niki huff in amusement.
"Sure." He nodded and leaned his forehead against hers before getting serious "I wanted to ask you something."
"Anything." Yura replied, looking at him and waiting for what he'd say.
"The school year is almost over and my graduation is mere weeks away. And there is my prom and... I wanted to ask if you'd like to go with me?"
Yura pulled away to really look at him, staring at him with surprise "As your date?"
"As my date."
"You mean..?"
"Officially." Niki confirmed "I want us to be official. I want to take you out on dates, show you off and let everyone know that you're mine and I'm yours, I want them to see every kiss I gave you, every hickey and every kind of affection. I want us to be free together."
Yura smiled brightly, her heart warming and beating faster as her cheeks reddened deeply. She couldn't believe he just said all of that but it made her beyond happy. Her hands reached up to cup his face and she pressed a deep kiss to his lips. Niki folded, his shoulders slacking as he let his body loose and only pulled her closer into the passionate kiss.
When they pulled away, Yura gave him a warm smile and nodded frantically "I would love nothing more."
Niki smiled, kissing her again and pulling her into a hug. After that she rested her head in the crook of his neck and Niki leaned his face against her shoulder, neither of them realizing when they fell asleep.
