The next day was Sunday and it was the first dinner with all four members of this house since the wedding.

Yura ate her food quietly while Mrs Nishimura was conversing with Niki and her husband, telling about their holiday and also asking Niki what they've been doing while the adults were away. At some points Niki had to lie, like about the party, and he also kept himself short in his answers.

Afraid he'd spill too much or give any suspicion to what things he did that last week. Things with Yura.

"Yura," Her father suddenly addressed her and the girl glanced up at him "How did school go this week?"

"Good?" Yura answered. Nothing had changed when they were away. Yura was still managing her classes the same as before, but she understood that her father wanted to know.

"Really?" Yura nodded at him and he asked the next question "Did you think about making your license?"

Yura only shrugged at that and picked at her food. She didn't want to do her license, she wouldn't drive a car anyway, at least not with her behind the wheel. But she also didn't want to disappoint her father and tell him that she wouldn't do it. She hoped that he'd stop asking about it after a while.

"What?" Her father expected an answer and not just shrugging "It's time for it!"

"Yes, I know. I will soon." Yura said, trying to get him off her back.

"Scardy cat." Niki muttered while glancing at her. His voice wasn't as despised as it usually was but it still didn't sound completely... Nice.

Yura rolled her eyes at him and quickly finished her food before standing up and putting her dishes into the sink.

"I'm gonna go shopping with Yuta later." She told them, walking out of the kitchen but her father's voice made her stop and turn for a second.

"Yuta?"

"From my school? My best friend? Come on, Yuta. You, I've told you about him before." Yura was annoyed that her father never remembered her friends. It has always been like that and every time someone was mentioned he asked again, and got it wrong.

"Ah." The man nodded and went back to his food.

"When will you be back?" Mrs. Nishimura asked, sta ding up and taking her and Niki's dishes away and to the sink.

"Around evening. I'm not exactly sure yet." She told the woman and she nodded.

Yura went to her room and closed the door behind her. She sighed and rubbed her eyes tiredly, recalling how Niki acted again.
Sure, they've never been on the friendly level even while hooking up but it was still kinda different now. Hostile again.

The girl sighed and shook it off and texted Yuta that she was ready. The boy would pick her up and they'd drive to the mall.

The weather was slowly getting colder and Yura wanted a few new jackets and pullovers for fall. Her favorite season.
