Yuta tried to ignore the sound of the doorbell for a few seconds, still staring at Yura and keeping eye contact. He didn't want their small moment to stop and wanted to continue to bath in her eyes and the complete attention he received.
Even tho he was only wearing pants and a thin tank top the room felt hot and his body was warm. He was happy that he and Yura were on good terms again but he could kill whoever had to interrupt them now.
"We should probably stop sitting around and get the door." Yura spoke, amused that they still haven't moved.
"Yeah! Yeah, right." Yuta stood up and cleared his throat.
Yura was right behind him when he approached the front door and he opened it far enough to let Yhra see who was there. But the boy's breathing stopped when he was face to face with his least favorite person.
"I guess I was right." Nishimura Riki muttered as he switched his eyes between Yuta and Yura.
Realizing who was at the door, Yura dropped her gaze to the floor. She couldn't meet Niki's eyes. The hurt and embarrassment were eating her up and just looking Niki in the eyes would make her crumble.
"What are you doing here?" Yuta asked, trying not to sound too hostile but a friendly tone with still impossible for him. "And how do you even know where I live?"
Yuta ignored the way Niki eyed his Yura's smaller form and Yuta's clothes, seeing how the taller boy squinted his eyes at Yuta's faint blush and red ears. Niki would definitely think something happened. And Yuta didn't know if he would even mind that.
Of course he would try to be nice to Niki but when the Nishimura boy started something then Yura couldn't be mad at him for being defensive.
"I asked someone." Niki replied to Yuta's second question.
"Ah." Yuta nodded with a small frown, not really believing that but he shook it off. "And why are you here again?"
Niki hesitated, looking at Yura for a few seconds but she wouldn't keep her eyes away from the floor. "I guessed that Yura would be here and try to make things up with you again." he pursed his lips. Niki didn't think he ever talked to Yuta for that long. Casually, at least. If you could even call it that. The whole air around them was fucking tense.
"Yeah she did. We're good." Yuta confirmed.
"Ah. Nice." Niki nodded. Both boys stood awkwardly, neither saying anything but Niki also didn't want to leave.
"You're going to school now?" stupid question, Niki. But he didn't know what else to say to get them to let him be with them on their way.
"Yeah I'm still getting ready but then we'll go." Yuta nodded, glancing at Yura but of course no one's gaze was returned in awkwardness. The girl just felt shameful in Niki's presence.
