One week. It has been one week since the funeral. Yura had been nervous and a bit scared the last few days, waiting if her grandparents would ask her how her father died but that never happened.
The girl guessed that Mrs. Nishimura had already told them, be it the truth or a lie, but it didn't matter as long as they'd didn't ask Yura because it was always hard to lie to her grandparents.

She would've had to lie if it ever came to that because never in a million years could she tell the that she killed their son. That she smashed a baseball bat against his temple. That she wasn't as happy living with him as it always seemed. It would break her grandmother's heart to hear such awful things.

But as the days passed, Yura's worry deceased and she was sure that no one would ask about her father's death again.

Niki and Yura were absent for a few days from school, the girl had been living with the Nishimura's for the whole time and Mrs. Nishimura gave them time to calm down and sort their feelings out but today was the day they would be in school again.

Yura got out of the car, her bag loosely slung around her shoulder as Niki got put of the passenger seat.
The two of them bid his mom goodbye.

The two teens walked towards the school together. For the first time.
Niki kept close to her, his shoulder brushing hers as they walked and Yura felt warmth swarming her heart from his behavior.

Yura's eyes met Yuta's as he waited at the school entrance. The boy only glanced at Niki next to her before directing his whole attention on Yura herself.

"I'm so sorry about your dad." Yuta spoke, concern dripping from his voice "I can't imagine how you feel. You know I'm here for you, always."

Yura smiled and nodded "I know, thank you."

"How are you holding up?" Yuta asked while Niki looked around, not wanting to interfere in their conversation or bother them by his simple stare.

Yura took a deep breath at his question and upon hearing the complex sound, Niki turned to her and held her hand.
The girl squeezed his hand in a silent thank you while answering her best friend "It's... Weird. Everything is suddenly different and... I don't know what to feel." she shrugged in the end. Yura had tried to find fitting words that would tell the other person that she was sad but her mixed feelings couldn't fathom if that was even true.

Yuta pursed his lips and nodded in understanding, wrapping his arms around the girl in a comforting hug.
Yira let go of Niki's hand to hug her friend back while the Nishimura boy watched them, his eyes piercing Yuta and his hands to make sure that he wasn't touching any part of her body that he shouldn't. He had seen him do that once already.

They parted from the hug and Yuta was about to speak again when a different voice sounded from behind him.

The trio looked on as Soul approached them, smiling at them all but his gaze softened upon meeting Yura's eyes "Hey Yura, I'm sorry about what happened." he told her.
