I've finished s4 and I immediately lost interest in continuing this story. To me, it doesn't matter why JJ had to die.
What I hate about this season is that it feels like other stories that were continued for so long and ended badly. I can't imagine a season 5 where Sarah risks her life being pregnant with a belly or a season without JJ or the pogues taking actual revenge on someone. This is not who they are.
I also didn't like that it was his dad who killed him. Ofc we don't necessarily need a happy end but give JJ some peace. So many story lines like Kie/JJ or Pope/Cleo have just developed and didn't see a lot of them together. I didn't feel any emotion between JJ and Kie this season. Fine, I get this is the end of JJ but at least change the storyline. First they were scripted being together and now he dies after they got like 5 min. If this was planned beforehand, they shouldn't have gotten together or at least decide that they wouldn't be dating for some reason. If they decide for a Kie/Rafe ship now, it doesn't feel real as well.
I feel like this season had its quality for sure but the original reason why people loved didn't get enough meaning.
For now, this story finds its ending here. I also won't delete the chapters because I like these ideas. I just don't like how the story turned out.
