"I don't know how a liar can tell many lies and not even feel bad about it."

"What's up, Rafe", Barry yells behind me and steps onto the boat as well, "Seriously, Country Club and Miss Country Club." "I've got a name", I sigh annoyedly. Why are we all here? "Yeah, Miss Country Club. Or do you prefer JJ's ex? I didn't forget about your visit in my house." "Come on Barry. Past is past", Rafe intervenes, "Now give me a second to think. We need to do something."

"We already do something all this time." "Yeah, we just don't have lots of time. Come downstairs, you won't believe that", Rafe says. When Barry walks in front of us, I stop him at his arm. "Why am I even here?" "He'll stay for a moment for business. Afterwards, it's just the two of us", Rafe whispers against my forehead and kisses me right afterwards. Let's see how long it'll take.

"We need think about customers. Do you know someone?" "It's always about the business with you. Hey, kooky, is he always like that? Like in bed only business?", Barry complains, "I've never lived like that man." "I've got a name", I growl wondering why I'm wasting my time with him. When he opens a box I see a few smaller pieces of gold in it. That's not the gold from the royal merchant. Or did they melt it? No, why would they? The gold's clear.. unlikely.. no way. The cross. They wouldn't melt the cross, right? Rafe wouldn't be such a sick dumbass to melt something so historic to make money which he's already got enough of?

"Rafe, tell me that this is not gold from the cross. Tell me that you haven't melted the damn cross", I say slowly but firmly. "Relax, kooky. It'll just make you richer. Perfect for you, right?", Barry laughs but I concentrate on Rafe and look at him expectantly. Rafe opens his mouth but he closes it right afterwards.

"Rafe", I huff, "You've promised me no more criminal activities! You've promised me to-" "We've melted it before I've promised you this", Rafe tries to talk himself out of it but I gasp. "That's your explanation?", I yell angrily, "God I was so dumb getting involved with you." I quickly go upstairs trying to leave the boat. Pope needs to know about this. He deserves to.

"No, Bella, wait", Rafe calls me and I can hear him walking right behind me but I only turn around when he is pulling me back towards him. "Wait, Bella." "I'm not a fucking dog, Rafe. You can't tell me what to do and you can most certainly not feed me with lies and expect me to stay with you."

"You're not breaking up with me", Rafe snaps at me, "I did this for us. It's our money for our future." "God, how do you expect this future to look like? You know how much Pope means to me! I tried to forget about you beating him up twice and still you're here destroying his family's inheritance!"

"Stay here", Rafe orders me when I take a step back. I shake my head and jump off the boat more quickly so he can't hold me back no more. "You just missed your last chance, asshole", I yell as I run away from the dock and jump on his motorbike when I see it near to the dock. Pope's needs to know about this.

"Pope! Pope, are you here?", I yell hysterically as I run closer behind his dad's shop, "Pope, big fat news. What's happened? You're giving me a strange vibe so what's up?" Cleo sighs, "Pope drops out of school willingly." "Forensic doctors wouldn't-" "Shut up, kook", Pope mutters and I shrug knowing that he'd never intended to hurt me. He's just being frustrated and if someone's allowed to be pissed it's him. Well, I'm not going to make it better in any way.

"Great timing, I guess", I mumble and stutter before I'm actually able to tell him what's happened. "What?", Cleo asks. "I've been on the catamaran with Rafe and-" "Pope!", JJ yells just as hysterically as I did a few seconds before. "Pope, there you are", JJ sighs as he appears in front us but looks at me surprised, "What are you doing here? Weren't you with Rafe?" "I was but I'm here to talk to Pope about-"

"The cross", JJ finishes my sentence surprised but he also gives me a warm look. Where's the sudden change coming from? "What about the damn cross?" "Rafe and Barry have stolen and melted it", JJ and I say unisono and give each other a confused look. "You know about it?", I ask surprised. "You came here and didn't stay with Rafe?", JJ replies just as shocked. Before we can answer each other's questions, we take a look at Pope. "I'm so sorry, P-"

Pope stands up and leans against the railing. "I know, I know." "Fuck!", Pope shouts into nowhere angrily and walks around, "Of course it's been Rafe." "Wait, polo boy?", Cleo reassures herself and I nod. "Yeah, I mean we could have expected it", JJ mutters frustratedly and I sit down next to him on the freezer. "Yeah. He desecrated la cruz de Santa Domingo", I nod regretfully.

"For what? To get even richer? God!", Pope groans furiously. "I know. So.. I think we should come up with a plan. In order to that, we should stay calm-" JJ's being interrupted by Pope breaking the broom by clashing it onto the ground. I flinch back out of surprise. I can see JJ giving me a worried look. Damn.. I know it's freaking Pope out but that's not him. We need to help him somehow.

"Yeah looks like you're doing fine already", JJ comments sarcastically. "That's completely sick, man", Pope huffs, "Even for them!" "I know", I whisper letting Pope know whose side I'm on, "I totally agree with you." "They're going to get away with this once again", Pope complains, "They can behave like shit over and over again and win." "Hey, Pope, seriously, is this new to you?", JJ asks.

Pope seems to think about for only a second and turns back to us, "No. But I'm sick of always being the good guy." Pope whispers his words so sharply.. I've never seen him so threatening. Something's going on in his head that we don't know about. "Pope", Cleo calls him, "Pope, where do you go?" I haven't even realized that she's been quiet this whole time. Poor Cleo got into such trouble with us. Pope ignores her calling for him and jogs away.
