Diary Entry, November 4th
I thought I could leave it behind, the whole thing with my former best friend. But she's always around, even when I try to ignore her. It's exhausting. My friends don't know about what really happened. They think we're still close. She plays along like nothing's wrong, and I hate that I have to keep pretending.
Why does everything have to be so complicated? Between her and Ethan, I feel like I'm constantly putting on a show. With Ethan, it's a secret I'm keeping from him. With her, it's a secret I'm keeping from everyone. I wish I could just tell everyone the truth, but what good would it do?
At least I have my music. When everything feels too heavy, I put on my headphones and disappear into my K-pop world. For a little while, it feels like I can escape.
