Daniel mentioned Ethan again today. Casual, of course, like it's nothing. They were talking about some basketball game, and Daniel said Ethan's pretty good. Of course, he is. I mean, I've seen him play. Not that I was watching specifically for him... well, okay, maybe I was. But seriously, Ethan is good at everything he does, even if he's quiet about it.
Being friends with Daniel has its perks. He's close to Ethan, which means I get to hear little bits about him. But it's also torture. The more I hear, the more I want to know, and the more I realize how far away Ethan feels from my world. It's like he's untouchable.
Sometimes, when Daniel talks about him, I pretend it's normal, like I don't care. But inside? It's like my heart is doing somersaults. I don't know how much longer I can keep this secret.
