Mia POV

It has already been 2 weeks since i met Ethan and what can i say i don't feel cringe and shy anymore. We actually became good friends.Okay not like we are best or close friends but like it's not awkward between us...right?

Dammit, let me just be for real,IT'S SO FUCKING AWKWARD! How do you expect me to not be awkward with him when i know that it's the same guy i was head over heels for. Like be for real, i'm not some k-drama female lead or something but i need to focus on my studies cuz k-drama is not gonna do my studies and write my exams for me.

Maybe i'll just take a few seconds to look at him and.... fuck it. GET A GRIP OF YOURSELF MIA!!!!

"MIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" i heard someone shouting my name. "WHATTTTTTT"i shouted back at my brother jake.

" I CAN'T FIND MY GAMING CONSOLE" he shouted back. "DUDE STOP SHOUTING,I'M COMINGGGG" i shouted back annoyed about how we are shouting not caring about the neighbours.

Mia: What is it?

Jake: I can't find my gaming console, and the guys will be coming over

Mia: So you expect me to know where YOUR gaming console is?

Jake: Obviously,isn't it.

I scoffed at him

Mia: Are you kidding me, do you think i use YOUR gaming console? Why the hell are you asking me where YOUR gaming console is? Like ,are you listening to yourself, look for it if you can't find it,don't expect me to know where your stuff are.

Jake: Damn, chill. Okay fine, I'll look for it, but then I won't have time, so can you—

Mia: Nope. Not happening. You lost it, you find it.

Jake groaned dramatically and flopped onto the couch like he just received the worst news of his life. "Come on, Mia. The guys are coming over, and I need to show them who's boss. If I don't have my console, how am I supposed to flex my gaming skills?"

I rolled my eyes. "First of all, no one cares about your gaming skills. Second of all, you should have kept track of your own stuff instead of relying on me like I'm some lost-and-found department."

Before Jake could argue back, the doorbell rang. He immediately sat up, his expression shifting from desperate to confident in 0.2 seconds. "That's probably them. If you help me find my console, I'll owe you one."

I gave him the most unimpressed look possible. "You already owe me like five favors."

"And this will be the sixth."

Before I could protest, Jake ran off to open the door, leaving me standing there, arms crossed, still annoyed.

Then, of course, he walked in.

Ethan.

And suddenly, I had to remind myself that I wasn't some flustered 12-year-old with a massive crush anymore.

He looked just as calm and effortlessly cool as ever, wearing a black hoodie with one hand casually tucked into his pocket. His eyes landed on me, and I swear there was a flicker of amusement there.

"Mia," he greeted with a nod.

I nodded back, determined to be normal. "Ethan."

See? Civil. Mature. Totally normal.

Jake clapped his hands together. "Alright, listen up. We have a crisis. My gaming console is missing, and I need all hands on deck to find it."

Ethan raised an eyebrow. "So, let me get this straight. You invited us over to play, but you don't know where your console is?"
