The kiss was fire—messy, hard, and desperate, like they were trying to devour each other. Orm's hands were everywhere, clawing at Lingling's shirt, tugging her impossibly closer as if she could fuse them together.

Lingling, caught between irritation and need, grabbed at Orm's hair roughly, making her gasp into the kiss.

They battled for dominance, lips crashing together with so much force it almost hurt, neither willing to give an inch.

Orm pushed Lingling more against the desk, pulling her even more closer between her thighs. She hooked her legs around Ling's hips, locking her in place.

Lingling tried to pull back, breathless, but the younger attorney wasn't having it.

She yanked her back in, kissing her harder, murmuring, "Don't even think about stopping now."

Finally, Lingling managed to push herself away, breaking the kiss with a gasp.

She placed a firm hand on Orm's chest, keeping some distance between them.

Orm frowned, a pout forming on her swollen lips, the expression so infuriatingly soft for the chaos they'd just created.

"Orm, stop," Lingling breathed out, trying to regain composure. She adjusted her rumpled shirt, buttoning it up hastily. "We can't do this. Not here, not now. Rule B, remember?"

Orm raised an eyebrow, her pout deepening. "Rule B?" she asked in a mocking tone. Then, realization hit, and she rolled her eyes dramatically. " It sure as hell hasn't stopped us- especially you before."

Lingling sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as if she were dealing with a stubborn child. "I don't care. I'm serious this time. We've got work to do—"

Orm interrupted her by grabbing her by the hips and pulling her close again. "I don't care, either," she muttered, leaning in for another kiss.

Her hands slipped beneath Lingling's shirt, untucking it and sliding up her back. "You're the one who always says work can wait."
