Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it happened,

Orm sat at the fancy restaurant, feeling... well, weird. Across from her was Lucas, her date.

Some rich guy, works in finance or something—she couldn't remember the exact details. All she knew was that Auntie Ariya wouldn't stop raving about him. ' He's perfect for you, sweetie,' Ariya had said.

So here she was, facing this tall, polished man in a suit that probably cost more than her rent.

"So, you work in finance?" Orm asked as she took a sip of her wine, feeling the warmth of the alcohol slowly spreading through her. It was easily the most expensive wine she'd ever tasted, and damn, was it good.

Lucas nodded, smiling. "Yeah, investment banking. It's a bit dull, but it's rewarding in its own way. Lots of numbers, lots of stress, but you get used to it. What about you?"

Orm smiled, leaning back in her chair. "Oh, me? I'm an attorney, a defense attorney to be specific"

Lucas chuckled, taking a sip of his own drink. "That sounds something cool and interesting.Is it tough?"

Orm nodded. "Totally. But depends... it can be both fun and tough, but always interesting"

"That's impressive," he said, genuinely interested. "You must have some crazy stories."

Orm laughed. "Oh, you have no idea. Between the court drama and clients... it's a circus half the time. But it's worth it when you can actually help someone."

They exchanged more about their jobs, families, the usual first-date stuff. Lucas talked about growing up in a family business, the pressure to follow a legacy, and how he found his own path in finance (Typical rich people talks).

But Orm genuinely found herself enjoying the conversation more than expected.

They finished dinner, and Lucas suggested a walk. Orm agreed, feeling surprisingly at ease. He pulled out her chair for her, and she took his hand as they stepped outside into the cool night air.

It really made her heart flatter, he was such a gentleman.

They walked through the quiet streets, talking about random things—nothing too deep, but enough to keep the conversation going.
