Orm paced back and forth across Becky's office, her irritation evident in every step. She was still flushed, frustrated from the abrupt interruption and, worse, sexually pent up thanks to an idiot, jerk, asshole Kwong.
"Who the hell is she?" Orm muttered under her breath, fists clenched. Her mind replayed every detail of the woman's entrance—the way she waltzed in with that royal attitude, like she owned the place.
Becky watched her, eyebrows raised as her friend stormed from wall to wall. Finally, she snapped, "Can you just sit down? You're making me dizzy."
Orm shook her head, her eyes blazing with annoyance. "No, I'm not sitting down! I just want to know who this woman thinks she is, strutting in here like some queen. Did you see the way she looked at Ling?"
Becky threw her hands up, exasperated. "No Orm sorry I wasn't there with you!. If I knew, I would've told you by now, trust me."
Just then, Prig slipped in, glancing around like she'd just snuck out of a high-stakes mission. She closed the door behind her, practically vibrating with her own excitement. "Okay, so I tried to eavesdrop, but I swear, that office is bulletproof. Couldn't hear a thing."
Orm sighed, slumping into a chair as she looked at Prig. "She's your client, Prig. So, who the hell is she?"
Prig shrugged, clearly unimpressed. "Yaya Sperbund. She's one of my clients wanting to divorce her husband."
Orm shot her an incredulous look. "Divorce? Lingling's not even a civil lawyer! Divorce is way out of her jurisdiction—why would she need to see her for?"
Becky, leaning back in her chair, looked thoughtful. "They probably know each other from somewhere else."
Prig raised an eyebrow. "Could be an ex or something. She wasn't exactly here to chat about the divorce—she was practically banging down the door just to see Kwong."
But then, something caught Prig's attention. Her eyes narrowed as she looked at Orm. Was that... She squinted closer. Oh, yeah. Right there on Orm's collar peeked a very fresh, very obvious hickey.
Prig's eyes went wide with realization, and she let out a laugh that filled the room, practically cackling as she pointed accusingly. "Oh my god! You two totally did it in her office, didn't you? Because surely that wasn't there this morning. You freaky little horndog!"
Orm rolled her eyes, too annoyed to be shy. She wasn't about to deny anything. That jerk has the audacity to fucking give me a hickey? What are we? In high school?
