Orm sat in her room, staring at the ceiling, completely zoned out. It had been two full days since the moment in the elevator.

Two days of working from home, avoiding Lingling like the plague. She hadn't set foot in the office, not since that kiss. And, thank God, Lingling didn't even have her number. At least she had that going for her.

Whenever she thought back to that moment—Ling's hands, her lips—Orm felt her heart race and her body heat up. She grunted, yanking her skirt on roughly as she got ready. "God, how jealous was she? She literally busted my lips from that kiss."

Her mind raced. Why would Ling be jealous, though? Was she going to justify herself when she saw me? Or, worse, act like nothing happened?

Orm muttered under her breath as she smoothed her skirt. "Should I say hi? Or just ignore her? God, I don't want to see her at all."

Finally in her office, she shut the curtains and switched off the lights, determined to stay hidden. Maybe if she just pretended to be invisible, no one would bother her. But her peace didn't last long.

The door creaked open, and Becky stepped inside. "Damn, it's like a cave in here. Is this some kind of meditation or...?" She raised an eyebrow playfully as she took in the gloom.

Orm nearly jumped out of her seat. Her heart stopped for a second—she thought it was Ling. "Becky, Jesus, don't sneak up on me like that," she muttered, trying to calm her nerves.

Becky plopped into the chair across from her, crossing her legs. "Alright, either you spill, or you spill. What's going on?"

Orm shook her head, trying to act nonchalant. "What? Nothing. Nothing's going on."

Becky wasn't buying it for a second. "Nothing? You're sure about that?"

Orm bit her lip, debating whether to spill the truth. Should I tell her? What if she thinks I'm losing my mind?

Taking a deep breath, Orm finally said, "It's Kwong..."
