Chapter Eight

~~ Previously~~
Skyler went to meet with Mia outside " I need to talk to you". Skyler took Mia to the far side of the school and turned to her "I think I'm in love with Mr Clarkson"...
~~Now~~

Mia was shocked "wow, since when?" Skyler groaned "mainly when he helped bandage my wrist" Mia nodded "does he know?" Skyler shook her head "I can't tell him. It's not right" Mia grinned "you never know, strange things could happen".

Chris was talking to Kim in the staffroom "you say Mia had a love bite on her neck and you think Max gave it to her" Chris nodded and spoke "I know Max is as professional as they come but he has been to known to let his personal life get in the way" Kim sighed "I don't think Max would have sex with a pupil" Chris had to admit that Kim had a point.

Mia had listened to what Skyer had to tell her and she was shocked. Mia had a free period so she went to speak with Tom.

Tom saw Mia standing outside so he went out to speak with her "what can I do for you?" Mia took a deep breath and spoke "Skyler's falling in love with you" Tom was shocked "how do you know?" Mia sighed "she told me, she's cutting herself because she knows you probably won't love her back" Tom sighed, he was afraid that it might happen.

Kim had been thinking about what Chris had said and she was convinced that Max wouldn't sleep with a pupil, he was far too professional for that. 

Tom couldn't believe that Skyer had fallen in love with him. He knew he had blurred the teacher/student relationship between them when he invited her to stay with him. Tom realised that he had to talk to her tonight at home.

Mia was sitting in the library and she was supposed to be working. Max came in and sat opposite her "have you told anyone?" Mia shook her head "no, I said I wouldn't" Max nodded "good, if anyone was to find out then we would both get into a lot of trouble" Mia rolled her eyes "I know but while we're on this subject, you kissed me first" Max smirked "I know I did and if we were alone then I'd do it again" Mia grinned "maybe I want you too" Max looked around to see if anyone was looking and he planted his lips on hers in a small but passionate embrace "I'll see you soon" Mia grinned as Max walked away.

_A Few Hours Later_

Mia went home with Chris and she went straight through to her room "are you alright?" Mia nodded "I'm fine" Chris smiled "that's good. How was school?" Mia shrugged "okay, I suppose".

Tom made a meal for himself and Skyler and called her in "we need to talk" Skyler inwardly groaned and Tom spoke again "I understand you've fallen in love with me. But I need you to know. Nothing can ever happen, I'm your teacher and it needs to stay that way" Skyler stood and ran from the house.

Mia had just been for a shower when the doorbell rang and Chris went to answer "Skyler? What's wrong?" "is Mia here?" Mia came to the door "what's happened?" Skyler was crying "he knows, he knows I've fallen in love with him" Mia invited her in "Chris can Skyler stay?" Chris nodded and Mia took Skyler through to her room.

Tom had been told that Skyler was with Mia and he went to bed. Part of him wished she was back with him as he felt lonely.

Mia and Skyler were sitting in Mia's room "what did Tom say?" Skyler wiped her eyes "said that nothing could happen between us" Mia sighed "I'm sorry" Skyler shrugged "it's fine, I should have known it was only a one way love" Mia pulled Skyler into a hug "how about this weekend me and you go out and have a good time" Skyler smiled "I'd love that" Mia grinned "good".
