A Life So Changed {Waterloo Road}

Chapter Twelve

A/N ~ So, I'm writing this update to make someone smile. I hope it works.

Mia had been trying hard with her eating but everything that was placed in front of her made her feel sick. It's not that she wasn't trying it was just she found everything revolting, she didn't even want to look at chocolate.

That morning Chris went to check on Mia and he found her hunched over the toilet throwing up "Mia?" Mia looked up and she looked awful "Mia sweetheart are you okay?" Chris asked. Mia shook her head. "I feel terrible". "Maybe we should get you to the doctors this morning," Chris said. Mia panicked and shook her head "I'm going to school". Chris sighed "Mia, you're not well, you need help" Mia shook her head again "I am fine! I just feel sick".

Mia was getting ready for school so Chris decided  to contact Max

Chris - Mia needs help. ASAP

Max - I'll talk to her this morning and see what I can do.

Chris - Thanks very much

Mia and Chris both went on to school and Mia met with Skyler. Skyler smiled slightly at Mia "Okay, I'm guessing I'm not the only one feeling like crap then," Mia said. Skyler nodded "nope, you're not" Mia smiled "talk to me, what's wrong?" Skyler sighed "this thing with Mr Clarkson. It's really getting me down. One minute he's being nice and the next it's like he doesn't care" Mia pulled Skyler into a hug "don't let it get to you hon".

Max was concerned for Mia after receiveing the text from Chris. He needed Mia to get better. He had made up his mind to speak with her during her first lesson.

Tom sat in his classroom looking at Skyler. He knew he shouldn't be but he was slowly falling in love with her. There was something about her that made him smile

The bell had gone so Max stood to collect Mia. When he saw her he knew what Chris meant "I need Mia and now". Mia got up and followed Max. Mia sat in Max's office and Max sighed. He didn't know how to break it to her.

Skyler sat in Tom's classroom. She didn't want to be there anymore. She was being severly bullied by Amy Porter. Amy Porter mumbled something about Skyler behind her back. Skyler had enough. She grabbed her bag and ran out the classroom determined to end her life.

Max grabbed Mia's hands. "You need help Mia. I'm going to help you as much as I can". Mia looked at him "you don't wanna help me, I'm a wreck. You're only trying to help me because you think I'll jump into bed with you everytime".

Skyler stood on the roof of Waterloo Road. She knew this was the cowards way out but she thought it was for the best. Amy Porter would be happier.

Tom looked around to see that Skyler had gone "where's Skyler gone" no-one spoke "I'll ask again. Where is Skyler?" Amy sniggered "she did a runner because someone said something" Tom glared "what did you say to her?" "I never said anything" Sambucca looked at Amy "yeah you did, you said she was a skank and a stupid cow" Tom looked at Amy "Cooler. Now!" Amy stood and left the classroom.

Max couldn't believe what Mia had said "what? Can't say anything? I'm right aren't I? You just want me for sex" "you're not right!" Max yelled. "Yes I am. You're using me for sex!" "I"m not" Mia looked at him "then why help me?" Mia asked. "Because I love you!" Max yelled. He quickly shut up when he realised what he said.

Skyler cried and stepped forward. Her phone was ringing but she didn't care. She didn't want to be here anymore. No-one liked her -even Tom. Skyler quickly text Mia and Tom saying goodbye and thanks for everything they had done for her.

Tom was looking for Skyler but he couldn't find her. He was about to give up and go to Rachel when his phone signalled a text -

Skyler - Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I'll never forget it. Don't forget me. X

Tom realised what the message was about. Skyler was going to end her life. He needed to find her

Mia was in shock at what Max had said "yo-you said you loved me. Why?," Mia asked him. "It's true I do" Mia took a step towards Max "prove it".

Max grabbed Mia and kissed her. The kiss was passionate and full of love. Mia pulled away when her phone buzzed. "Oh no!" Mia cried. She began to cry. Max held her. "Skyler's.trying to kill herself," Max was about to run out when Tom ran in "we need to find her before she does it," Tom said. Tom was crying. The three of them ran to find Skyler but the crowd outside told them where Skyler was.

"Go on then!" Amy called up. Rachel was trying to talk Skyler down while trying to get Amy to go back inside. Skyler stepped closer. Half of her foot was on the ledge and the other was in mid air.
