A Life So Changed {Waterloo Road}

Chapter Fourteen

Mia hadn't been able to tell Max that she loved him which caused a bit of tension between them. Skyler had been staying with Mia and Chris and she was dreading the fact that she and Tom were being spoken to by Miss Mason.

Mia was sitting on the balcony thinking "are you alright?" Mia turned to see Chris standing there "I'm fine. Why?" Chris sighed "I'm just asking. We're leaving soon" Mia just nodded and turned back to look at the view.

Skyler sat in the back of Chris' car and Mia was in the front. Chris was going on about Mia and her not eating "I didn't see you eat breakfast this morning" Mia sighed "I wasn't hungry" Chris looked at Mia "you never are hungry Mia. You're making yourself ill" Mia rolled her eyes "back off! I keep saying you are NOT my dad".

Chris pulled into school and Mia stormed off "Skyler, Miss Mason and Mr Tyler will speak to you during first lesson" Skyler nodded "what's gonna happen?" Chris sighed and spoke "I don't know. This is serious Skyler".

Max saw Mia standing at her locker so he walked over to her "is it me or do you look even more beautiful than before?" Mia turned to him and grinned "you must need your eyes examining. I look like crap" Max looked around to see if the corridor was empty and seeing that it was he planted his lips onto hers "you're beautiful".

Rachel had sent for Skyler and Tom. Max came in as he had to be present. When Tom came in Skyler was already there "okay, Tom. Why were you having Skyler Johnson stay in your home?" Tom sighed "she had nowhere else to go. I did to help her" Rachel looked at Skyler "did Mr Clarkson ever act inappropriately towards you?" Skyler looked up and shook her head "no, never" Max could see this was hard for Skyler and Tom spoke "Skyler had nothing to do with this. It was all me. I'm resigning with immediate effect" Rachel frowned "Tom, you don't need to do that" Tom looked up at Rachel and she spoke again "I'll forget it this once. Call it an error of judgement. Make sure it doesn't happen again".

Mia was waiting outside for Skyler and Max came out "what happened?" Max sighed "she's forgetting about it this once" Mia nodded "is that good?" Max shrugged "it could be. If they're sensible enough to not get caught".

Rachel left the office and Tom came out with Skyler "Max, thanks for helping in there" Max smiled "it's fine but you really should be careful" Tom sighed "I wish, I'm not even allowed to see her outside of school" Max smirked "I have a suggestion" Tom looked intrested as did Mia and Skyler "tonight Tom, you come over to my place. Mia and Skyler will come too and you two can have some time together" Tom frowned "why would you help?" "because I am. Come over about seven".

_A Few Hours Later_

School had eventually ended and Skyler was staying with Mia and Chris until Social Services found her a placement close to Waterloo Road. "Chris, we're going over to a friends tonight" Chris looked at Mia "which friend?" "A friend from back home. She moved here and wants a catch up. She wants to meet Skyler too" Chris agreed to let them go.

Mia and Skyler arrived outside of Max's around 7:15pm and saw that Tom was there. Max let them in and placed a kiss on Mia's cheek "Tom's in the living room". Max led them into the living room and Skyler sat with him while Mia and Max sat on the other sofa.

Mia and Max were sitting outside while Tom and Skyler were inside "tonight's going well" Max nodded "indeed" Mia grinned and looked up at the sky "it's beautiful isn't it?" Max smirked "it is".

Skyler stood to go to the toilet and Tom followed "what are you?" Skyler was interupted by Tom kissing her "I had too" Skyler smiled and kissed him again. Tom took Skyler to the spare room "are you okay with doing this? I've got protection" Skyler nodded and they both continued doing what they were doing. After stopping for a brief moment, they continued. Eventually it led onto something more.

Mia and Max were still outside "Max, you said three words to me that I never said back" Max looked over to her and Mia continued "the three words I wanna say; I love you" Max stood and went over to Mia planting his lips onto hers in a passionate kiss. Max led her inside while still kissing and he lifted her up onto the kitchen table "bit inappropriate for you?" Max shrugged and they continued.

Tom and Skyler came downstairs to see Mia and Max getting themselves sorted "you two are having an affair?" Mia looked up and paled "please don't say anything" Tom sighed "you let me see Skyler so I'll keep quiet" Mia grinned "thanks".

Mia and Skyler got back to Chris' and saw that Kim was there "what's going on?" Chris looked up "Kim needed some advice on something" Mia grinned "right well we're off too bed and wear protection" Kim blushed while Chris rolled his eyes "night girls". Both Mia and Skyler fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow.
