Chapter Sixteen

Chris had no idea about Mia's miscarriage and she wanted to keep it that way. It was a saturday morning and Mia was lying in Max's bed with him and she didn't want to move.

Skyler and Tom sat downstairs on the sofa. Josh had gone to stay with Georgia for bit "have you spoken to Mia at all?" Skyler z

shook her head "I think she needs some time, losing the baby was hard for her" Tom nodded "was it Max's baby?" Skyler nodded "yeah, they've been together a few months".

Max made Mia some breakfast but she didn't feel like eating it "you need to keep your strength up" Mia sighed "I feel sick" Max took Mia's hand and kissed it "I love you. I don't want to see you ill" Mia looked in Max's eyes and nodded "okay".

Chris had spent the night with Kim and he loved it. Mia was over her friends house with Skyler. Kim came down "morning" Kim grinned "where's Mia?" "At a friends house with Skyler" Kim nodded "is she okay?" Chris nodded "she's fine".

Tom was getting ready to have a shower when Skyler came in "you look good" Tom turned to her and smiled "so do you" Skyler grinned and sat on the bed "remember what I said last night? About having a baby?" At Tom's nod Skyler continued "I want us to practice" Tom was shocked and Skyler pulled him over to the bed "I wanna do this Tom. I want us to have a baby" Tom nodded and they began kissing. Skyler took Tom's shirt off and he did the same. Eventually the kissing led onto something more.

Max was in the shower and Mia was sitting on the sofa. Mia had no idea how long she had been sitting there when the doorbell rang. Max came down "don't" Mia nodded and Max went to look out the window "my ex-wife. Go up to the bedroom".

Max was in the middle of a divorce and he couldn't wait to be seperated from her "Jennifer, you shouldn't be here" Jennifer rolled her eyes "got someone here have you?" Max smirked "jealous?" Jennifer scoffed "I don't think so, I'm happy to be away from you" Max nodded "good, now please leave".

Skyler and Tom were in bed together "you were amazing" Skyler smiled "thanks, not too bad yourself" Tom kissed her "I need that shower now" Skyler giggled "I think you do. I need to text Mia".

While Tom was in the shower and Skyler got her phone to text Mia -

Skyler - Are you okay? Xx

Mia - I'm fine. It's sinking in that I lost the baby. Part of me deep down wanted this baby. Xx

Skyler - I'm sorry. I should have watched where I was driving Xx

Mia - It's not your fault. Maybe it wasn't the right time for a baby Xx

Skyler - Are you sure you're okay ? Xx

Mia - Yeah. I'll meet you in town in about four hours Xx

Skyler - Okay Xx

Skyler sighed as Tom came in "are you okay?" Skyler looked up and nodded "yeah, I'm fine" Tom planted his lips onto Skyler's in a passionate embrace "I love you".

Max was sitting with Mia on the sofa when Max received a text from Chris -

Chris - If you're out and about and you see Mia then let me know.

Max didn't reply but Mia spoke "is everything okay?" Max kissed her "your brother is asking me to let him know if I see you" Mia sighed "I should head home soon" Max kissed her "until you're ready we won't do anything you're not comfortable with" Mia nodded and she snuggled into him.

A couple of hours later Mia and Skyler met in the town centre "ready to head back?" Skyler nodded "me and Tom are planning on having a baby" Mia didn't know what to say "co-cool".

When they got back to Chris', Mia turned to Skyler "please don't tell Chris about yesterday" Skyler nodded "I won't" Mia smiled in thanks. Once inside Mia saw Kim's stuff and groaned "I can't believe she's here again" Skyler smiled and they went into Mia's room. Chris had brought them both some dinner in and they both fell asleep early.
