Chapter Thirteen

"Go on then!" Amy called up. Rachel was trying to talk Skyler down while trying to get Amy to go back inside. Skyler stepped closer. Half of her foot was on the ledge and half was in mid air"
~~Now~~

"Skyler! No" Skyler stopped and she turned to see Tom "why not? Give me one good reason I shouldn't do this" Tom sighed "because too many people care about you. Me, Mia, Miss Campbell, Mr Mead" Skyler was crying "no-one cares! I'm better off jumping!"

Mia was stood with Max. Seeing her best friend so vulnerable was making her want to do something "I hope she jumps" Mia turned to look at Amy "don't be such a horrid cow" Amy grinned "it's true, she's a weirdo who needs ending" Mia tried to go for Amy but Max grabbed her "don't" Mia looked into Max's eyes and saw the love he had for her.

Tom had told Rachel that he would talk Skyler down so Rachel went down. When Tom saw that Rachel had gone he turned her "there's a reason I don't want you to do it" Skyler had tears flowing down her face "what reason is that?" Tom took a deep breath "I'm falling in love with you" Skyler turned to him "what?" Tom smiled "you heard. I love with you" Skyler couldn't believe what she heard "you're saying that to get me down" "I'm not" Tom took Skyler's hand and took her down from the ledge.

Max took Mia back to the office and Mia spoke "be honest. Did you mean it when you said you love me" Max nodded "yes" Mia sighed "part of me doesn't believe you" Max pulled Mia closer to him "you should believe me because it's true".

Tom took Skyler home and they sat on the sofa "I don't want you doing anything like that again" Skyler looked up "why? You hate me" Tom looked at her "I don't hate you, if I did then I wouldn't have got you off the roof".

Mia was sitting in Max's car in the rain "I think you may need to see a doctor" Mia looked at him "I don't, I promised I would try" Max sighed "Mia, I love you and I want you to be okay" Mia faintly smiled and Max kissed her "I love you" Mia grinned "is there any chance you can take me over to see Skyler?" Max nodded.

"Do you really love me?" Tom looked at Skyler and smiled "yeah, I meant it" Skyler faintly smiled "I love you too" Tom planted his lips onto hers in a passionate embrace.

Max pulled up outside Tom's with Mia "before we go in there I want you to know that I meant everyword I said today" Mia smiled "I think I'm starting to believe you" Max kissed her and they went to the house to see the door was unlocked.

As well as Mia being there with Max, Rachel and Chris had just pulled up "Mia? How did you get here?" Mia didn't know what to  say so Max spoke "I brought her, she got upset over Skyler and she couldn't find you" Chris nodded and they walked into the house.

Tom and Skyler were still kissing when the living room door opened "what the hell is going on?" Tom and Skyler pulled away to see Rachel, Chris, Max and Mia standing there "this isn't what it looks like" Chris scoffed "what is it then?" Skyler didn't know what to say "I'll see you both in the office tomorrow first thing" Rachel turned and left and Chris spoke "Skyler, you can stay over at mine tonight".

Mia stood outside while Chris stayed to help Skyler pack up her stuff. Max came out "are you okay?" Mia turned to him "yeah, I'm fine. Today has been weird" Max smirked "how?" Mia shrugged and grinned "well, the executive head declared his love for me, my best friend tried to end her life and then I walked in on her making out with him" Max nodded "that is a weird day".

Chris came out with Skyler and he saw Mia with Max "Mia? Come on, we're going" Mia looked at Max and smiled "thanks for your help Mr Tyler" Max smirked "my pleasure".

Mia and Skyler sat on Mia's bed talking "he said he loved me" Skyler looked at Mia "Mr Tyler?" Mia nodded "yeah" Skyler smiled "what did you say?" Mia sighed "I didn't say anything. I was too shocked" Skyler faintly smiled "Tom said the same, that's how we ended up kissing".

Mia and Skyler both fell asleep that night both feeling happy but neither knew about the drama that was going to occur at school.
