LEBONE
"So where were you the whole of yesterday and this morning?" I suddenly ask him as I put my makeup on.
He's laying on the bed, scrolling through his phone.
I'm sure he's probably looking at some other woman's Instagram feed the way he's been glued to his screen.
I've been looking at him through the mirror.Lebone: "Re-le-bo-gi-le!" I snap.
Relebogile: "What is it, babe?"
Lebone: "Ke re where were you?"
He finally puts his phone down and attends to me.
Relebogile: "I was with my mother."
Lebone: "The whole day?"
Relebogile: "No. I first dropped her off at the school she teaches at and then I went to the gym as per usual and then right after, I couldn't help but go see her again."
Lebone: "Couldn't you at least let me know, then?"
Really, because I almost thought I'd have to deal with getting rid of some side chick quick fast. I've learned how to get rid of "problems". You can actually blame the Kunupi Wives Associaton - as Kgomotso liked to call us - for that. Or let me say, they rather influenced me.
Lebone: "You've only been with her for two minutes and now suddenly your sure she's your mother?" That just came out.
He gives me that WTF look.
Relebogile: "Are you hearing yourself, Lebone?"
Lebone: "Look, I'm sorry."
Relebogile: "No. Now I see how you actually don't care much about this." He jumps right in.
He swiftly gets up from bed and leaves the room.
I really didn't mean what I said just now. I just blurted it out.
Argh, now he's gonna be angry at me for rest of the day all because of this? Or is he going to cry to his newly found mother now?
Look, I love my man with all my heart but after Felicia and Lesego's death, this guy has never really been okay. He spends more hours than usual at the gym and of course that's not normal. But now I have to force myself to be in a good mood since I'm planning my best friend's surprise proposal.
SIMPHIWE
"I'm @ maNto's… pls open up the gate" a text from Sihle reads.
I wonder what he's doing here. But he's my cousin, so I guess he can come check up on his brother. Especially after yesterday.
Okay, I know I might have acted a little out of order yesterday and I'm quite surprised Sihle was the quiet one this whole time. Usually he's the one that always starts arguments and keeps quiet after he sees that the argument he's trying to win isn't going anywhere - but that would always be after a while.
But this time I'm surprised he never spoke a lot yesterday.
Entlek, I didn't act out of order; S'bu kept pushing me, man! Yah!
I don't need help. I'm absolutely fine. I just cry from time to time because I'm a human with feelings too.He enters the house because he knows the way. He's been here quite a few times and I'm not going to treat him like he's some special guest. He can always help himself.
Sihle: "Akhon' amabhiya?"
See?
Simphiwe: "I'm sure there are."
I don't drink alcohol anymore so I wouldn't know.
He comes to the couch after grabbing a bottle of Savanna. I think it's Aunt Vee's but I don't think she'd mind.
