KGOMOTSO
I refuse to get married again.
I don't want it.
I'm fine, I'm grand, I'm good. It's fine if the congregation judges me for being Simphiwe's girlfriend for a long time.
I'm definitely not doing that wife thing. No thanks.
I've been seated outside and even tempted to take my kaftan dress off and just jump into the pool to swim the stress off. I don't know why that whole conversation with Simphiwe got me stressed.
You know what, screw that. I'm jumping inside.
I swiftly take off my kaftan dress and I'm left with my black bra matching panty and like I child I run a few steps before doing a canon ball with water splattering outside the pool and some water splatters landing on the windows and on the sliding door.
I made a good choice by buying this house. It's a double story, yes, but it's simple. Just like the old complex I used to live in.
Still can't believe I bought this with Lesego's dirty money.
I need another mocktail.
Just then, Mo appears holding Lefika who looks like he's enjoyed his daily afternoon nap. She comes wearing a pure white crop top and grey sweat pants and--
Kgomotso: "You'd better wash those socks because I'm not going to hurt my hands getting that dirt off."
Because why is she wearing white socks?
Modiegi: "Yah Sis'K." She says as she walks to the lapa with Lefika who desperately wants to be freed from her grip.
Kgomotso: "I need another mocktail, Mo."
Modiegi: "The Powerades are finished. And why are you swimming in this cold Autumn?"
Kgomotso: "Why are you wearing a crop top?"
Modiegi: "At least I have a lesser chance of getting flu."
I just chuckle.
Modiegi: "So how was your date with bae?" I just roll my eyes. "Was it that bad?"
Kgomotso: "I wouldn't say it was bad but just the conversation we had... Ayi."
Modiegi: "We're not gonna dive into that."
I don't want to.
Modiegi: "What are you making for us tonight, mami?"
Kgomotso: "I'm too lazy to cook so I might just buy pizza."
Modiegi: "Again?"
Kgomotso: "The kids won't complain."
Modiegi: "Okay then. But uhm... Andile invited me somewhere and..." She says with a sneaky smirk.
Kgomotso: "Where?"
Modiegi: "The cinema."
I just laugh and I also don't know why I'm laughing.
Kgomotso: "You know what, love. Go have fun with your bae."
She smiles.
I have to get out of this pool before this child ends up running into this pool and falls.
Funny how Lefika started running first before he started walking.
I guess it runs in the family-- doing things out of order.
Funny creature I gave birth to. And he's turning a year old very soon.
I have things for his party sorted out. I invited colleagues that have children. Tiyane wanted to bring her friends over and I gave her the side-eye because what would 9-year-olds be doing at a baby's party?
I even invited the Mnisis and I know they won't disappoint me.
I just hope by then Simphiwe's hopes for marriage would have died because I'm doing that thing anytime soon or even ever.
Just then, Tlhalefo appears wearing black a black hoodie, black shorts, long white socks and Adidas slides.
Reminds me a lot of Simphiwe.
But Tlhalefo looks as if his spirit is down.
