KGOMOTSO
It's been two months since I came back.
Lefika is now a five-month-old baby that seems to be getting fatter each month.
Life has been soooooo good ever since I came back to Joburg.
Cleo and Robert won't talk to me.
Lebone knows.
Yonela knows.
Mantwa knows.
Khosi knows.
Busi knows.
Matome and Mahlodi know too.
It's like everything is coming together somehow.
Everything makes sense.
I'm happy.
I feel alive again.
Do you know how weird that sounds? That I'm alive again?
Surely God knew what He was doing all this time, didn't He?
I haven't told the kids yet. I still don't think it's time yet.
But these past two months have been amazing. It's like I finally found my light at the end of the tunnel. I'm happy. I laugh more. I smile more. I mother more. I'm more active now. I am planning on going to the gym soon to get rid of the baby fat, but Simphiwe says he loves me just the way that I am.
Oh, he's doing everything so right!
Funny how just two years ago he wasn't on my mind, now he lives on my mind 24/7.
"Someone's in a good mood." Lebone says as I make breakfast before everyone wakes up on this beautiful Saturday.
Kgomotso: "Could you possibly blame me?" A scoff emits from her.
Lebone: "You've been like a lovestruck teenager these days. Not even Modiegi acts like this."
I absolutely love how Modiegi was able to open up to us about her love life. I know exactly what she's going through. I know that feeling way too well!
Kgomotso: "Well that's because I'm with the same man I was with since I was a teenager, Lebone." She laughs.
Lebone: "But you know I'm so happy for you. You deserve all the happiness you can get, skeem. You've been through a lot."
Kgomotso: "We've been though a lot!"
Lebone: "True that!"
We share a laugh before it becomes quiet amongst us.
Kgomotso: "But you know, even after everything we've been through we're still here, smiling and laughing."
Lebone: "Yeah, but you know how our situation is, skeem."
I know.
She told me.
And after she told me who was responsible for this, it gave me even more reason to help her.
I'm just glad Rele finally made that difficult decision he had been dying to make.
Kgomotso: "I know. And you know I'm always here to help and plus that dead man left me a lot of money that I really don't mind sharing. Most of the money is going towards the foundation, but I really don't mind giving you the rest of the money."
She hugs me.
Lebone: "Kea leboga, skeem."
Kgomotso: "You're welcome, skeem."
I think it's time I told her what I've been dying to say.
It doesn't feel right to keep this in for a long time too.
Kgomotso: "Uhm, skeem." I say once she parts from me.
Lebone: "Yes?"
I sigh.
Kgomotso: "I'm selling this house."
She freezes.
Lebone: "Skeem! That's such a huge decision to make."
Kgomotso: "I've been thinking about this for a long time and I feel it's time I took that decision, skeem. And plus, I have more reasons to sell it."
Lebone: "But you've just started your relationship with him."
Kgomotso: "You do know that I was once with this man for eight years, right?"
